I apologize seems like alot of you know about cars I don;t and I am trying to learn...this is the first new car I have ever bought. nobody ever told me to pop the hood on a car and even if I did I would have no clue what I was looking at...
Kudos to you for coming back!

That sucks dude, but I guess I am confused, you say you didnt know at the time there is a supercharged version, and then you say the salesman and finance guy said the car you were buying is supercharged.
Just dosent add up.

Anyway, hopefully you can get this cleared up and get the one you want!

Good luck.

Wow, I really feel sorry for you. Atleast this will be a lesson learned: do research before you buy anything. And no, you didn't waste your money. You got a decent little car for the money and I'm sure you'll be happy, especially since you don't really know much about either.

Here's a funny story: I went to a dealership one time after I had already owned 2 cobalts, and a salesman stood infront of two supercharged SS'. He said, "On the left is the supercharged cobalt, and on the right is the turbocharged" needless to say I had to teach a salesman about things he should already know.......but just goes to show you, you don;t have to know anything about the product you are seeling to be successful

Good luck with your new 2.4

If you ordered the car as a SS/SC, then you can go right back to the dealership and get one, but if you paid for a SS/NA then you just saved yourself a few thousand bucks and still got a pretty good car. So hey, live and learn, and, as has been said before, any Cobalt is a good Cobalt!

But it seems like its a good car so far...its quick and it responds well so I have no complaints about it...I was wondering if I can still slap a super charger on it even though it doesn't have one. Im sure I can but is it a good investment? what do you guys think?

nothing having to do with dumping money into a car is a good investment. There is a few things out there to make the 2.4 quick. Everything you need and will want to learn can be found here. Just look in the 2.4 section

You have had the car week, you didn't know what you bought, you have already had it vandalized, and now you want to modify it? Slow down Tex...

First, get to know a few things about your car first. Don't spend any more money on things you don't know how to identify. Go to some shows. Learn about some cars that already have had work done. Move out of the ghetto. Then spend money on your car.

This forum is a good start. There are a good number of 2.4 owners here. You should be able to learn just about anything you need to know!

You'll be alright with a 2.4l.
If you're deadset on modding so soon I would recommend GMPP Intake and exhaust. Rather than going to other manufacturers for intakes and exhausts, that you'll have to put on yourself, or pay a shop to do for you.
you can probably get your dealer to make a package deal of those two components plus the install for around $800. It won't void your warranty, It'll make you car sound GREAT with a respectable increase in response and performance.

Why? With automatic, leather, and a sunroof the 2.4 sticker price can easily top that.

I'm waiting to hear what kind of financing he got. I smell a 25% interest rate somewhere around here!

I just priced on the Chevy web site a new, fully loaded 2007 SS at $22,785. What options did you get?

Ummm 21K? I have the SS S/C and only paid 18K for it.
You need to find out why you got charged so much.
