just some input........anyone of your bigger hotels would probably do it. I know theres been toyota shows and stuff in the parking garages. Something that big would need some time to figure a good place for everyone. We can come up with a couple places if given enough notice. if vendors and everything sign up we could do a show at the silver bowl or even unlv it all depends keep me informed

well lets see where we can do it in vegas. its very humid inside the big parking garages. and I dont think people want to walk up and down levels to see cars. Might be better on just clat or semi flat ground. If we do it in May or something, It shouldnt be too hot.
What big parking lots or malls are around Las vegas....
If we do this, we should rent out an entire hotel....it is a lot cheaper for group buy and we dont have to be scattered all over the damn place. Unless they want to or have time shares.....
We could always have a day at the race track?????

Thatll work.
Im actually going to wustefest this year so I can see how it is. =)
Ok Guys. let get the ball rolling on this tho.
I would say some hotel close or off the strip because of parking. Maybe the westinn? or palace station? maybe even CC or somewhere around that area???
april or may for the day. I dont think there is a long weekend even around that time to go. so people might need to take a day or weekend off of work????
There are plenty of roads and stuff out there to go to. hell we could to a vegas-laughlin run and back. that would be awesome.

Hey, I could probably get some friends I met in Utah(i'm from utah but lived in vegas for about 12 years) from rockymountainecotec.net to come down for that too. mostly cobalts. and a couple others thrown in there... In order to take time off (couple days in a row) I'd need to know a month in advance. I would love to help coordinate this out. or maybe go on the site above and see what they think also to make this bigger.
So?
btw, i'm Ash in Vegas.

The local SoCal SDAC (Shelby Dodge (and turbo Dodge) Auto Club) chapter has done some events before and we were looking at trying to set up something for those older cars as well as the newer Chrysler turbo cars (SRT-4, PT GT, etc.) with a track rental in Vegas and maybe do a Shelby plant tour and car show. Renting the facility isn't exactly cheap but a larger group of front drive domestics might make it easier to get enough people to pay and bring the costs down. A weekday is also going to be a lot cheaper but is harder for people to take time off.
A simple car show/jumbo meet might be cool but getting people to drive out just for that might be a little difficult. Maybe leaving the SoCal area around 3-4pm on a Friday night when their Midnight Mayhem racing is going on (from 9pm-1am) and a meet the next morning (Saturday) might be another option, but the track has been somewhat busy the last couple times I've been out. Firebird International Raceway near Phoenix might be another option if you're looking to drag race and was a little less expensive than LVMS track rentals a few years ago but it's also not as easy to get family/significant others to go there instead of Vegas.

Old thread I see but still a good topic. For cars, I could bring every one on your list except for an Ion. (That and I only have a single car trailer would make transport a little difficult.) Also when cruising out to Vegas from the SoCal region it's a much nicer drive taking the back roads through the Mojave National Preserve (Amboy to Kelso to Cima), it runs about the same time or less than taking the 15, and is a heck of a lot better than cruising up the boring 15 the entire way.

I have not traveled anywhere but utah for some meets. The guys from RME are a car "club" for any cars that just like to have fun and meet others and do events. All through colorado, utah, and parts of the dakotas. BUT we do need people who are closer like Cal and Nevada, so That's what you're all thinkin right? I just wanna be sure I know what ya'll are thinkin.
I only know of LVMS.... haha. I have a Honda friend who does all these events and track days, Palm Springs yadda yadda.... So I'm a tad familiar.
TeamAdrenaline, you did make a list and meet of people who were supposed to come to Vegas, and there was only one who showed from Cali, and two from Vegas...sad. So I Hope people can commit if they say they'd show, it would suck if this happened again....

Hello everybody..
My name is Brandon and I'm the organizer of Wustefest... If you guys are interested, I could put together a weekend-long event for you guys and it would all be taken care of in a very similar way to how I run Wustefest... Obviously, "Wustefest" is a copywritten term and would need to be re-done if the decision was made to do a "Domestic Wustefest"... but I'd be more than happy to make it happen!
Let me know..
