Exhaust Help.....
Whats up guys? I have an 06 SS and right now its all stock. But I am looking into getting an exhaust put on it soon. right now i'm looking at the ZZP 3" Down pipe, with the 2.5" ZZP Cat Back. I've only heard it from videos on youtube so i don't really know if it sounds all that good due to the quality of sound from the computer. Do you guys have any suggestions? Also i have read that Supercharged Cobalts are better to go with the 2.5" exhaust rather than 3". Do you guys know how much it would effect the performance if i were to just go with a 3" exhaust all the way back? After I get the exhaust i plan on getting an intake and then the ZZP Stage 2 Kit shortly after.

if your gonna do more performance stuff to your car do a 3" 2.5: isnt worth it as for brands zzp makes good **** but lsj cars get loud fast what muffler does the zzp kit come with?

The ZZP Kit comes with a Magnaflow Muffler, I am thinking this exhaust mainly because the video that i saw on youtube wasnt to raspy, its hard to cause i just heard it off my computer but from what i could tell it was a pretty clean sound. The only thing is that the guy was running 3" all the way back. So I may just look into that since i know im gonna have the car hooked up in the semi-near future. I am also looking into a turbo swap.

the ZZP Stage 2 kit comes with ZZP Retuned ECU, ZZP Modular Pulley System, Over sized tensioner pulley, NGK 4644 Spark Plugs Gapped at .035, #50 Siemens Fuel Injectors..... Nothing too major until i step it up to the Stage 3 but that probably wont be for a couple months.

first thing first, hands down, nothing is better, get zzp long tube headers wit the extra bugs bcz u never know when u will get ur wideband installed for tune then anything after that doesn't matter bcz its just gonna blow off or get blown gaskets all day (from my xp) bcz lsj are known for that. so either you buy 2.5 piping of axle back and wield a resonator starting from the downpipe to cat flange to the axle back (what i wish i did but my cat back was free) or you take the chance wit a cat- back system but dont get off brand unless u would problems. i hope that helps

Well there is nothing back there to slow down and quiet it on the SC cars. A turbo is a muffling device, it slows down and quiets the exhaust. I had no cat no res and no muffler on my car for a while and it was WAY too loud. I have a Borla XR1 now and it sounds real sexy.

i have no cats and im on zzp long tube headers. i just added a a 22inch res on my midpipe and my **** is close to stock but still sounds fucken sick, mine is alot quieter and use to be freaken loud lol i can probably pass that dam sound test now lol
