thats understandable but that is why it has been planned so far in advance, so everyone could save up. we knew this would not be a cheap trip. i just hope it doesnt turn into an expensive, socalecotecs meet in tahoe.

 

Wait hold up.......i live in vegas...which is about 5 hours from tahoe if you drive at my speed :-P......

I wasn't even going to rent a hotel.....I was thinking a campsite as thats very much cheaper and usually much more fun....or worse come to worse it being too expensive.....fold down the back seats in the car and sleep stretched out on the back seats through to the trunk......done it before...its pretty good as long as you stay warm.....(sorry military guy here....warm sealed sleeping quarters are a luxury)

So pretty much the only expense would be food, gas, and (getting a daypass)showering at the local gym....am I missing anything?

(well unless a wife or GF is coming....in which i'm sure extra arrangements would have to be made to accomodate members of the planet venus....)

 

Yea for us its at least a 12 hour trip just driving [and thats non-stop] at $3.63+gal, then camping fees [to hell with the hotel!], then food and whatever else comes into play. Note that its two of us, me and NWAE Cobalt...and we're not sure if he can afford to take two days off. if we win some money maybe...lol

 

well since thats the case i'm going to play my cards wrong...

 

If Steph can get the time off work then we are still set to show up.....

Leave Thr night / early Friday morning, show up around 10-11am Friday and just relax a little...

Its apx 500 miles each way for us.. I don't mind the drive but I sure as heck mind the 4.25-4.75 for gas I will be paying... but its whatever, part of the game I guess.

Just hope she can get the time off so we can make it. I do have a hotel so we are set on that...

no...for us its just some unexpected time off requirements and some unexpected bills...we planned for it, were saving for it, and had the time off sched...but had to cancel

 

count me out...just got my car back today...and im seperating soon from the navy and not going to be able to make it
