Well guys I think I might be able to get out of the cooking buisness finally! I just got a job offer tonight to work at Home Depot. I know it is not necessarily the best job in the world but I was told that I would start at at least $11.50 with a cap of $25 an hour. Within 6 months I could be on salary and be making 55k a year with benefits. I would also be able to have full time. I think I am going to go for it! And the best news of all...I would be able to trade in the ol' ls for an SS/SC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh and the background, I am currently making 10 an hour with anywhere between 7 and 60 hours a week. The hours vary a lot. So what do you guys think?

enlist in the navy, you'll still have more money to spend on the balt after expences, by the time you commission in a couple of years you'll get a whole lot more than that, plus better benefits than hd could ever provide.

if you join any service, do it with a degree.....seriously

hey i'm an army recruiter, if i was trying to recruit him, i wouldn't sell the navy to him, but trust me navy>home depot any day of the week in both pay and benefits. besides he has rotc and some college allready, he'll go in at a higher rank till he finishes his degree and goes flying.

 

thanks guys for your imput I appreciate it! I currently work as a cook for a small restaurant in my town. My plan as far as the military goes is to wait another 6 months or so and then go in enlisted. (Just for personal reasons) I will then be using the Navy's programs to complete my degree and then go to OCS. So all in all this job will just be a for now type of thing, but it will help me finacially until I leave.
