thats true, with a custom setup you will be figuring out things as you go. it's a good way to learn though, i have learned a **** load in the process of specing and doing my setup. i had a lot of help from people who have allready done it though.

no need just use the boost controller to up the boost, less risk of kr. most turbo applications run lower compression. i'm running stock compression, but i used a multilayer cometic headgasket so that lowered my compression a bit.

i will have 2 tunes as well, track tune for 24 psi w/meth, and my daily driver tune.

as far as i know speed mafia is the only company to produce a kit. the car ran fine on the kit, just the power wasn't there till the top end. and as far as i know he sold the kit to a 2.4 guy that has an ion.

i was on speedmafia.com and didnt see a kit for the 2.0. what kind of power can i get from a procharger kit from a decently built engine? any idea. im still new to anything other than roots blower

and how does the pulleys work? they look different and are they interchangeable like a roots?

i would say your not gonna see anymore than 290whp on the procharger, it's just not meant for sucha small displacement application, these motors take quite a bit of cfm and boost to make real power.

because it takes forever to build that much pr, it has to build pressure throughout the chargepiping and intake manifold before you start seeing any boost, just like a turbo, difference is a turbo will spool much faster to the rpms you need to build pr and start making power. so on higher displacement or lower boost applications, ie guys only running like 8-10 psi it works very well, but for guys running high boost to make good power like us it's a no go.

well i wouldn't want you to have an ill conceived plan and be disappointed with your build, just because you didn't know all the facts. right now as we sit, you want real power it's turbo or tvs, turbo will be less responsive in the low end than tvs, but also far less abusive on your whole drivetrain. and turbo is far more capable of making big power without the limitatons of the blower efficiency, even if you hit the choke line on a turbo you can always upgrade the compressor.

well imma go ride my motorcycle be back in a couple of hours.
