The Official "Nor Cal" Thread
#6102
Dude get over yourself..... there has been drama going on in this forum since before u showed. That's why no one shows to meets cause so many people flake. People ask for help then get talk **** when advice is given. Ethan can handle his own **** so I don't care what u and Ethan are upset about. So when I speak of drama I speak about all who get upset on post. So now lets get to u and me. I don't know u, don't care to know u, don't care what u drive, how much money u have or don't have. What I do care about is a show of respect. So before u upset me, be very careful with what u say. So like I said, norcal is drama drama, people want meets and half show, people get keyboard brave, feelings get hurt, people get upset.... I hoped **** had changed after been away for a year but apparently people have yet to learn any manners. So yet I say again norcal is drama drama, so much potential but no unity.
It's just a joke to me.
ANYWAY..
Any of you ever seen the ENGINE POWER REDUCED notification pop up and the car starts sputtering and you need to turn it off? And 10 minutes later my car turns back on again..
Seems to happen right when I get into boost at low RPMS..
Code: P1182
Any ideas what it could be and how it can be fixed? I'm gonna make a thread about it in a bit.

lmao
DTC P1182
Circuit Description
Important: The following applies to the intake air flow system performance diagnostic that is used in this supercharged engine:
• When referring to the "intake manifold models", the plenum volume between the throttle body and the supercharger is considered to be the intake manifold.
• When referring to "engine pumping", the supercharger and the intercooler plenum are considered to be part of the engine.
• The manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor that resides in the engine intake manifold is used to adjust the engine air flow estimates to balance the air flow models.
The intake air flow system performance diagnostic provides the within-range rationality test for the mass air flow (MAF), the supercharger inlet pressure (SCIP), and the throttle position (TP) sensors. This is an explicit model-based diagnostic containing four separate models for the intake system.
• The throttle model describes the flow through the throttle body and is used to estimate the MAF through the throttle body as a function of barometric pressure (BARO), throttle position, intake air temperature (IAT), and estimated SCIP.
• The first intake manifold model describes the intake manifold and is used to estimate SCIP as a function of the MAF into the intake manifold from the throttle body and the MAF out of the intake manifold caused by engine pumping. The flow into the intake manifold from the throttle uses the MAF estimate calculated from the throttle model.
• The second intake manifold model is identical to the first intake manifold model except that the MAF sensor measurement is used instead of the throttle model estimate for the throttle air input.
• A fourth model is created from the combination and additional calculations of the throttle model and the first intake manifold model.

Yeah I can go down there earlier. I'm hooking up with dan to get the rest of the money he owes me. Not sure what time he'll be home, but I'll just hang out in concord if he isn't back before then

I would, but I'm about to go to a party. It's a girl at works 21st. But I'd be down for tomorrow.
Also, I just did some research and I'm pretty sure I wont have to smog now. It says if the vehicle is being transfered from a parent to a child, then I don't have to. And the way we are doing the loan, we are doing it as a gift between me and my mom, so I don't have to pay taxes like I would if I was buying it used. Also it said if the model year is less than 4 years old, which mine is. Unless 2011 models are out already, but I don't think they are.
