Chill out, damn. A lot of people in the bay area are cocky when it comes to cars and driving, he was just poking fun at that. I don't see what the big deal is

Go karting? I've gone 3 times this summer.. **** is fun.. but proves nothing in terms of driving a regular vehicle. Idk where you're making this comparison.

If you want people to come out to your go karting why don't you just ask instead of making some cheesy challenge like "lets see who the real drivers are"....

Just a thought...
I wasn't directing my invitation to you personally, it was for everyone. Since you think it's some kind of personal thing I'd like to ask, "Raced a lot (legally)", really, would that be road racing or drag racing?

The reason I ask is because of your second point about the comparison of driving a kart vs driving a car. It's well documented that many, if not most, professional road racers started in karting. It's also my experience that most fast drivers I've met at the track are also fast drivers in karts, if they have had the chance to drive karts. You can claim there's no connection, but that would be contradictory to all the empirical evidence. Maybe you can point out a few fast kart drivers who somehow are not fast car drivers? I guess you're claiming that if someone is a real fast car driver they could somehow be a real slow kart driver? Karting is the same as with motorcycle racers. Show me a fast motorcycle racer and I'll show you a fast car driver.

If there was even a remote chance of making it happen I would love to set up a track day where everyone could come out and show their stuff and you would have no doubt as to who was fast and who was not. Kart or car, lap times don't lie. Unfortunately almost no one on this forum goes to track days so that's pretty much a moot point. If people won't take a couple hours out of their day and spend $50 or $100 you can be sure they won't burn a whole day or more and $300 to $1000 to take their car to the track. Moreover, If you don't have track experience, other than lap times, you still can't get much of a comparison because newbies have to run in the beginner groups. There's a reason for that. The reason is that unless people have experience going fast they will suck ass and be a danger to others on the track. They may think they're fast, but it's all in their mind.

My goal in inviting people to the karts is to bring up anyone's, and everyone's skill level. It's also a great way for people to learn that no matter how fast you think you are, there's always someone faster. Well that is, unless you're Michael Schumacher or some other driver that has won multiple championships. I know there are thousands of drivers way faster than me, yet I seriously doubt that any of them are street racers driving Cobalts. My challenge is there so that we might uncover that gem of a driver in the giant pile of bullshit slow drivers who way over rate their ability. Who knows, maybe you're that super fast and talented guy that everyone should know about and learn from.

Street racing is not the place to learn driving. It is a good place to get into trouble. I'm trying to provide a reasonable alternative. If you want to cry and complain, go ahead and keep doing what you're doing. I suggest attempting to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem.

It's up to you.

We need a "stirring the pot" smilie. I would have added here at the end of my post.

lol. Dude. Let me tell you there's no possibility of trying to be cocky in a cobalt. There's no big deal here. I'm just making it clear that obviously nobody has accepted this guys request to go karting with him.. and I'm offering an alternative.

lolllllllllllllllllllll... booooo hoooooooooo

be real man. dont take this so serious and just offer the chance for a good time as opposed to looking at karting from such a technical standpoint

I will never flake or complain about goin' anywhere for a cool meet-up.. (for the record)

And the reason the flakiness happens and people don't want to leave their area is because there's nothing setup that is exciting and worth going to. That's one reason I also have given up on compromising on anything with the cobalt people.

Last meet was f'kin years ago and barely anyone made it. Nothing special.. and tons flaked. It was bullshit. Now I see the fail aspect of norcal cobalts.

Ok, enough of the "your a homo" talk. Who isn't a big mouth ***** ass non driving turd, and wants to come out to the karts in Fremont on Friday night? I'm making reservations and I so far I have 8 guys from Norcal vettes forum that are going to be there (well, 7 plus my 13 year old son who doesn't even have a drivers license).

Of course I'm assuming that if you don't come out and compete you must be a big mouth ***** ass non driving turd. That's only fair. Unless you have some kind of excuse like: my mom just died, a tornado hit my house yesterday, I have a rare contagious medical condition that won't allow me to be in the same building with other people, etc.

Come out and show your stuff !!!!!!!

Everyone talks a ton of ****, lets see someone, or anyone, that can back it up!

If you come out and beat my son I'll pay $50 or the cost of your driving for the night whichever is less. If you come out and beat me I'll give you $100 straight up. Just to be clear in case someone just comes out to crash me and try to win. You have to beat my best lap time with your best lap time to get the $100. I'd say that's a pretty good offer.

So who's not a big mouth ***** ass non driving turd? You should at least come out so that on the slim chance you beat a couple of the exceptionally old and fat Corvette guys you can brag about it later. Just think about all the bragging you could do if you beat me and take my money.

If you don't beat me I am enough of a gentleman that I will not dog you out on the forum. As a matter of fact, I'll probably gain respect for you just by you showing up and giving it a shot.

Dog

Quoted so he can't delete it

If one of you can't beat his 13 year old son then you should be slapped.
