K so I'm getting tuned sometime between 10:00 and 2:00 I'm hoping to do it earlier that way I can still meet up with you guys and go up together. So basically if I end up doing it early [around 10] do you think you guys could wait a lil for me to meet up with everyone? The shop is in Temecula.

Well intercooler issue has been figured out and fixed. And meth is a wonderful thing
144 degrees wot into 4th gear on a m3 nozzle. 1 and 2 are over very quickly, and my 3rd feels like my second used to

im sure hoping for a hell of an improvement lol.
the temps are very efficient under WOT through out the long 3rd gear.
I'm still down for November Street legals; the car feels like it has 13 seconds in it. but you know how hard that is to run out here in cali w/ these cars... hopefully the coming months bring better weather conditions to the track.
I'll have a dyno done maybe this week, or next. need to make a phone call

You should like running it, although it is pretty addicting. From what I hear. Are you spraying pre or post-blower?
I took the Cobalt out to a Midnight Mayhem event in Vegas a couple weeks ago and it was still around 90° at midnight. I got there late and only got a couple runs in but it seemed about the same as Fontana. Here's for hoping they get the lights installed and get some night racing going sometime soon.

It's spraying directly into the intake manifold Got a bung welded and screwed the nozzle directly into it
We'll just have to wait and see... I need to re-learn how to launch this thing though... Gonna have to really feather it out of the hole now... er...
I'm officially HEAT-SOAK LESS Top end never felt this good on this car.

Sounds good. Depending on where you've got the nozzle placed you might throw in a fresh set of spark plugs and keep an eye on them after a few miles and WOT pulls for signs one cylinder is running hotter than another (to help ensure you've got even meth distribution). A thermocouple probe in each exhaust cylinder would be the best way to monitor per cylinder EGT's, but if you keep an eye on knock and the plugs look good you should be good to go as long as your tune isn't relying on the alky injection to keep the engine alive (clogs, leaks, and pump failures do occasionally happen with even the best systems).

I will be installing some more safety features for it relitively soon. Such as a low level reader for the tank, and a safety switch (on/off power)

Which kit did you end up going with and did you also get a progressive controller?
All those are good ideas and make sure you invest in the highest quality solenoid/check-valves you can find. Then install two of them. Maybe more. I've seen more than a few kits that come with one that doesn't hold up well to the severely corrosive nature of methanol over time and can leak. If the nozzle isn't the highest point in the system that can lead to trouble. I really like a lot of the Aquamist setups and some of their flow sensors in addition to tank sensors, etc., but it's too bad they're so expensive.

I was going to drive out but wasn't sure if there were any group/meet stuff going on besides the drive up and then ended up being on call for work Saturday. You did your best and hopefully those that made it out had a good time. Maybe we can set up some smaller regional meets first and get some regulars going then plan something bigger like this again some time at a future date.
