I got a similar fixit ticket n i secured the plate w zip ties n a bungy cord inside the lower radiator opening. Did the trick, cop seen it n wrote it off. (Almost) driled holes in my baby n the cop didnt even show up 2 court!

did the same thing and it passed. The plate just has to be securely fastened to the front of the vehicle

I had the plate secured pretty good with zip ties but i took it off cause i was worried cop wouldnt write it off. I just can't drill into my bumper haha

I am almost at the point of doing it but i think im just going to zip tie it again and try and get it written off. Worse comes to worse they say no. Ill hit you up david if it doesn't work. Thx

 

just a lil story from today....well marquees and i re installed the head and getting ready to bolt down the cams and redo the timing....marquess had a FAIL moment. i was screwing down the caps on the cams when i hear O ****!!!

The first thing i see is him holding a breaker bar with a step down on it and a 10mm socket. He decided to use the breaker bar to screw in the small 10mm bolt for one of the cam caps....well he ended up snapping the poor little bolt that he probably torqued down to and extreme of ft/lbs....i was so furious....i think i hurt his feelings cuz i did raise my voice at him....lol....a little not too much. well then hes like its alright i got another bolt that will fit...and he pulls out this small bolt from his trunk...and it fits but its just a tad bit short and i didnt trust it....when i remembered i had a box full of bolts and nuts in my house...luckily i had one exact same bolt like the one he broke or else i would have been down for a little while...but no worries...

later he redeemed himself...right as i was going to put the cover on he noticed that my timing marks were off by one tooth so he got his credit back...lol. im not mad at him anymore....lol.

Well Marq i want to thank you for your help, we did run into a few problems but we fixed alot of things today. Thanks and ill see the rest of you guys later
