Eh, not really. Just a lot of experience with a many different cars over the years. Since I've been out of it for a little while I'd have to look up what's "new" to even figure out what you're talking about. Probably some silly blower aftercooler thing. Although speaking of which I might be picking up another car that already has a blower within the next week or so...



Do they have any filtered vent holes on the top of the assembly? It's hard enough to get a headlight to seal and many OEM units allow them to breathe in order to minimize moisture issues.

 

Why is that? I was conidering getting one used by another member, I don't think I'll go new because of the whole "RAW sucks as a vendor thing", might get ripped off. I thought about OTTP CAI, it's cheaper and will be new. Got any suggestions?

 

ottp is better quality and a better company. would u rather support a company of ******** or ottp

well i havent actually seen or used the ottp intake, but its supposed to have better fitment, like on the 07(mine) the raw hits the brake lines(ur 05 doesnt have that problem) and the raw doesnt have a bracket that mounts the intake the the chassis like the stock intake sits so it has fender bulge, ottp has that bracket

hey Andrew i did a a dig launch and i didnt slip second haha
i spun 1st cuz i launched it silly and i shifted right when i hit 6500 BANG CAUGHT 2ND and then 3rd shut it down at 85
maybe it was cuz i shifted hard from 5k, thats why it would slip, my baby is touchy haha

 

mine does the same thing. at the track im screwed going 1-2 but on the streets 9.5 out of 10 i dont slip going 1-2

 

yea its weird, before my mounts i got wheel hop and it wouldnt slip and when i got the mounts i couldnt chirp 2nd cuz it got rid of wheel hop for the most part but sometimes it would slip 2nd

good to know its common haha

 

i have no traction mods now so i think that helps with it
