Somewhat. You run a greater chance of grenading the stock open diff if you heavily abuse the car while the optional helical gear, torque-biasing Torsen/Quaife-style unit used in the F35 would hold up better. The main benefit is being able to put power down while exiting from a corner and during turns where the stock open diff would have one wheel spinning.
The SS Turbo does have the capability to use the ABS system to limit wheel spin but it's not comparable to a mechanical limited slip differential (as a side note, the RPO "G35" diff is technically not a LSD but instead a torque-biasing differential). If you want to use the brake-limited diff make sure that traction control is off (either TCS Off, Comp Mode, or ESC Off). If you're going to drag race and/or just daily drive the car you should be fine without the mechanical diff, but if you do any type of competitive driving that involves turning and accelerating at the same time you may want to install the LSD.
