i still have to pass the bullshit ref tho, and bring the passed emissions paper in to the judge. i am gonna bring the passed emissions paper in that is failed due to my MBC, then remove my MBC and pass the ref again and show the judge both and claim not guilty due to me "not knowing" the MBC was there. theres a bunch more **** i have to present, but that will be the basis.

Yes but Vince has you datalog the car using his custom program and makes necessary changes to it and then sends you the revised tune to upload.

its all Vibrant (header/downpipe"catted"and 3inexhaust)
you guys are all experienced in this area, thanks

I saw Paranormal Activities or whatever tonight......haha it was pretty funny at the funny parts and just a trip not scary, one part gave me chills when she got pulled out of bed, pretty crazy

Unless the car is put under load, which the type of rollers used for emissions can't do, you can't build boost on a turbocharged car like you can out on the street. No load = no reisistance to overcome = doesn't require much fuel to burn and therefore not enough exhaust gas to fully spool the turbo. A supercharged vehicle can behave differently since the boost is a function of engine rpms.

i am gonna challenge the ref. it took 4 cop cars, 8 cops and 1.5 hours for those dumbasses to figure out what a manual boost controller was cuz i sure as hell wasnt gonna tell them i knew what it was. long story short i am gonna ref with the MBC on and show them it doesnt affect the emmisions and i am gonna claim it was on their from before, but very well hidden. hopefully they buy it.
Won't fly and unless you just want to waste their and your time, put it back to stock. You're altering the vacuum harness and boost control which can potentially affect emissions. Car runs leaner, makes more power, doesn't matter. It's modified from stock and you cannot alter the boost control on a turbocharged vehicle under the emission laws of the state. The ref has seen plenty of turbocharged vehicles before and even if they did a tail pipe test first and the car came up spotless, as soon as a visual is done (which will more than likely be the first thing they do), you're going to fail. The law may suck but its still a law and they aren't going to overlook it.

On a regular smog test you'll probably be fine. I stress probably in that if the car is super loud and you've got a full exhaust system the shop may very well start digging under the car. This is only going to come into play in the near term if you go to sell the car, if it's registered out of state and you bring it into California, or when you hit the 6-year mark from the first year sold.

If you get busted for anything and get sent to the ref make sure you can put your stock cat back on. Under California law, if the vehicle is still under the original emission systems warranty coverage you are required to have an OEM cat on the car. You also can't modify the header from stock either.

yea ok i like the sound of that, thanks sir. cops dont bother with me unless im on it and then they fuss, like last night a cop could of pulled me over cuz i know he heard my exhaust POP but he proceeded on his way. i do have the stock cat back and down pipe and header still. the cat back is cut pretty shitty so i would need it welded together if i had to put it back on, then after i pass have a shop put the after market system back on win win

yes you need to have the stock cat
^_^ 5 or 7 yrs b4 you can change
it to a non oem one.

when i went to the ref they where cool
about it because it was the students
who where doing the test.

the instructor which was the state ref
is just watching them do it right.

That should be fine cause anything after the cat has nothing to do with emissions just noise
