The biggest restriction on the whole exhaust system post-turbo is going to be the stock downpipe. Leaving that stock and adding a bigger cat-back exhaust and/or pulling out stock muffler will give you little to no power gains with what the stock turbo can flow, so do it because you want it louder or a different sound. I kind of like the stealthy quietness myself and have lived with too many droning/loud/obnoxious cars to do that to the Cobalt for none to minimal gains.

yes you need to have the stock cat
^_^ 5 or 7 yrs b4 you can change
it to a non oem one.
when i went to the ref they where cool
about it because it was the students
who where doing the test.
the instructor which was the state ref
is just watching them do it right.

call the bar, the state ref is at chaffey college.
in the automotive bldg. try 2 get it in the morning
b4 12pm. noise u would prolly fail. if its not stock or gmpp
the gm is 1 dec off to fail.
cole , steve is goin 2 get the ark pipes soon wait till he gets it
and see if u like it.

hey guys, i just tried to do a NLS today, and it was awesome! its pretty sweet. i was reading how people were not able to get it for some reason, but it shifts like butta and the boost/power is still there. pretty nice
