So Cal Chat

There's not much of it left, but for anyone interested there's a black '06 Cobalt SS in the self-serve Ecology auto parts yard down in Chula Vista (the one off Energy Way). The powertrain is gone and the car is pretty much picked over but it looks like the entire rear suspension is still on the car, the powertrain cradle and front control arms, the driver side knuckle/caliper, and some of the interior trim pieces and the dash shell are left.

I haven't been hitting up the yards as much as I used to but I may be heading back down there in the next couple weeks. I'm not sure how often they're rotating cars out but with all the cash for clunkers coming through the yards they have had a lot of turn-over the last few months.
If you make it down there and decide to pull those make sure to check them out first. I didn't look too close and the driver side front corner took a hit apparently and it scraped down the underbody and rear quarter panel (probably hit and sideswiped a fence). I can't tell how hard if any the wheel took a hit since none are on the car, so the driver side suspension including the arm could have taken a decent impact.

It's only a couple hundred miles out of my way.
