so i took the head off my ride today....i took it to a machine shop for inspection. i checked the lifters and they are fine. Im still trying to figure out wat the loud ticking is when my car starts up. i thought it was the lifters...maybe it is...but i checked them and they are fine. so ill find out next week what needs to be done to my head. some valves had play. so most likely valve guides.

#1 cylinder was clean while 2,3,and 4 were covered in oil. Im starting to think that i blew the head gasket...funny thing is that it was a cometic....well im not sure. something had to break to take my turbo out.

since i was at that point i went ahead and installed my oil pressure sending unit.

and now i play the waiting game.

ive already bought a few new parts...stock o2 sensors that got completely destroyed from the turbo shaft flying out the exhaust. dual cooling fans, new plugs, ill be getting a new wideband sensor on saturday or sunday. i got my eye on one. and of course all the needed gaskets for good seal.

and i might be buying a new turbo real soon. ditching the gt22 and going with a gt28 60trim water/oil cooled. im never buying a turbo again that is not water cooled

 

did the egt spiked? before the turbo went kaboom?
