To tell you the truth im not sure. The only time I tried to launch is when I first got the car(which is also my 1st stick car). I put it in 1st revved to about 2 grand and popped the clutch, felt like something was gonna brake so I havent done it since. All my races have been from a roll. So far 2-0

unless u have RWD and a good tranny dont side-step or dump the clutch hard..
when u start off from a light or wutever..
u push the clutch and the gas alternating them to get the car moving right???
well thats wut u wanna do in a race..
only a lil faster..
the tires on the stock SS/SC r so bad.. that if im in 1st at about 4 grand and i floor it.. ill spin the wheels into redline.. its bad
im sure the SS/TC isnt that much better

Yeah but thats also only if I get a full WOT run in 1st. If I WOT at 3000 from normal driving it wont do it due to turbo lag

u have to kind of ride the clutch when u launch to get the grip and the best off the line

rev it to what is good for u, let the clutch out but still hold it as u get the off the line start and release it all the way

when i was stock i launched soo good one time haha i was at the light ready to go revved it to about 1500 nothing really and released the clutch but held it to keep from spinning and and jumped out from and let go of the clutch at 3k and it was a beast launch

i wasnt racing anyone there was a scion tc next to me so i was practicing

now when i launch i have to be carefully of clutch slippage as it isnt fun

long post enjoy haha

Lets put it this way.

A TVS LSJ making 350whp

A Turbo LSJ making 350whp.

Who is going to be faster?

Well obviously the SC due to powerband. Put the same amount of money into a LNF that you put into a LSJ and see which one beats which. Again ownership bias

It's not really an ownership bias. For the money i've put in, i could have easily done a turbo swap.

I'm not looking for peak power, i'm looking for a useable, powerful powerband. And low 300's will be easy to reach.

I know im just saying put the same money that you spend on the LSJ into a LNF no matter how little or large that may be and see which is making more HP. Simply put LNF was made obviously to out perform the LSJ which it has. Its not reversed, its not like they made the LSJ after the LNF. The LNF isnt labeled as the mistake SS. The LSJ is. Pwned lol

depends. 350whp cobalts never make as much torque as power. not necessarily true with turbos. Same gearing with a K04 making 350whp/380wtq and a TVS making 350whp/300wtq, the turbo will win assuming brake boosting is also done.

I like playing devils advocate

will.. for as much work as your doing.. why dont you get urself an LSJ build book.. and do some engine work.. get even more power
