the were designed for turning, not fast in a straight line, and the new SS/TC shows that.

Meh I don't feel the difference in the canyon roads.

Though didn't the turbo'd balt actually prove that the wing provides X amount of down force?

Besides teh handling, they don't move pretty well in a straight line too? That's new to me.

GM press info stated the tall wing provides 23 pounds of downforce at 70 mph and 115 pounds at top speed of 155 mph. The standard wing presumably does much less, but in other words, neither wing does much at legal speeds on public roads.

not saying they don't go fast in a straight line, because they do quite well, i meant they were really engineered for the twisties, and that's where they shine, even more so than straightline speed.

Not too bad. It was just like the high desert except with insurgents occasionally firing rockets in your direction.

I was just there with the Neon last weekend and will probably be back to all three of them coming up in May as long as I'm not overseas again. Plan of attack is SRT-4 on slicks for one of them (since they reverted and are allowing regular race slicks again), Cobalt stock (unless GMPP releases the upgrade kit before then), then maybe the Focus which should have the blower finally installed by then. On slicks the Neon has ran 12's but that was on a cooler night with great conditions and a private rental with better prep. Since traction may be an issue I might have to add a little more power. That always helps.

What I'm looking forward to seeing is what I can ring out of the Focus. I've been stockpiling some other parts to install all at once so I'm not tuning it multiple times. The new exhaust, engine mount, and J&S Safeguard should arrive this week.

I posted an update on another forum but haven't got around to posting anything here. I did get a chance to talk to the manager but I'll post a spearate thread in just a couple minutes so it doesn't get lost in this chat thread. Short answer, not any time soon...

EDIT: And here's the full info on the track.

Wingless W/ Cf. Way Cleaner. Not Even Worth Considering The High Rise W/ Cf.

Not for a while. But I don't have CF at all. And I don't think I ever will because I don't like how CF looks on black cars. (Unless I color match the CF).

If I had a colored car I would go with CF hood/truck and de-winged. No doubt in my mind.

The high rise on a CF trunk looks cheesier and takes away attention from the look of the CF imo.

dont put the wing on cole, i think your getting restless and looking for things to do the the car... resist the urge, and put the money towards something else.
