Lightbulb West Coast GM Tuner Bash interest.

J-Body Northwest and The Arizona J-Body Organization have teamed up and are looking at organizing a West Coast version of the JBO's (www.j-body.org) GM Tuner Bash.

I know that plenty of people have mentioned over the years that having it on the east coast seems to alienate all of us out here in the good ol' West.

As of right now, the 2 locations that are of interest are either Salt Lake City, UT or Las Vegas, NV. Options are being weighed as we speak and a final location decision should be made soon.

The estimated time frame for this is scheduled to be around October.

At first, it was going to be limited to J-Bodies only (mirroring the "old-school" Bash styles). However, it was decided to open this up to all GM small cars. This was done to promote diversity among the GM communities, as well as try to make this something worthwhile for everyone.

If you have any questions, comments, or suggestions, please post here.

This is just a fact finding or feeler post as of now, but could soon turn into a "Are you coming post", Im posting it on behalf of the "Organizing parties in JBNW and AZJBO and like to hear any thoughts on a meet/ race event of this size and scale.

Please let me know what you think! And if youd be willing to attend an event like this!

October seems kind of late in the year doesn't it? If it is more of a summer thing I will most likely go. My problem is that I travel around the country and I don't really know my location in the winter months. I am just tossed around from October till April. I will be in WA in the summer months and I will be able to go. But anyway I would love to go and I always enjoined the j-body bash.

Yeha it is a lil' late in the year but with the location being Las Vegas that is still pretty much summer time in Vegas, lol. We would do it earlier in the year but tio get it planned, organized and not conflict with other clubs large summer meets we had to set it late in the year.

Hey guys the official site is up for the meet..... http://www.wcgmtunerbash.com/

Check it out and sign up if your interested in going to the meet, this is were the planning, announcing, and decision making will get done for the most part. So keep checking back regularly.

Well the decision to switch the location was made due to many logistical and time opriented decisions, were sorry if it makes it harder for some groups to attend but realistically the decision to have the event in SLC was a good move for the initial year of this event. Keep in mind this will not always be the location for this event, just the best, most centralized locale for the first time.

If anyone wants to know more of why we move dthe event to SLC, then log onto the site, sign up and participate. www.wcgmtunerbash.com

If you want things done your way you have to provide input to the right source.
