What would every one think about haveing a WEST COAST MEET. We get everyone all over Cali and other states and show everyone who we are and what we are. This can be a annual event if we plan it right and may try to get some vendors out and maybe some sponsors. Make this a whole weekend meet so we dont have to rush to and from the meet. What does every one else think about this? Feel free to add input and or help out No time line yet, just want to get input and go from there.

since people are driving from different states i would advise doing it on a saturday so even if they do stay out late they still have sunday to recover

 

I would say do it around mid cali because people in nor cal are not going to want to drive down to LA.

 

Thats why I said to make a it a weekend event. so that we all could enjoy it without pushing oursevls
Thats why I have it as an open disscussion so we can see were the best place would be. We have to get input and then make a commitment far enough in advance so that everyone will have time make plans to make it out.

 

if we do this it should be planned at least three months in advance, and be in a centralized location for the whole west coast. my .02. but i think it would be friggin awesome

 

Im not positive, but I think if u want any people from washington to even consider on going I would shoot more for a place somewhere in southern oregon. like maybe right around the oregon california border? cause if i remember right it takes like close to 10 hours to get to gold beach oregon.

 

im sure some of us so cal balts would be down for a HUGE convoy up cali if they can afford the funds/time/date

 

Thats why I was thinking Fresno, its a little over 2 hours from my house. Which puts LA at 4 hours, San Diego about 6 hours, San Fran 3 hours, Sac 4 hours, so if you live near these cities you can see the distance we all have to drive. Thats why I want to make it a 2 day event, so that no one has to rush, every one will have time to make plans and get funds arranged.
I dont want this to be a rushed meet were it all falls into place at the last second. I would like to see things official at least 1 month in advance so we all have time to make plans. Those that are coming a distance will have time to set up hotels and accomidations.
I would like this to be the bomb event were everyone cant wait till next year. I have noticed that people are worried about distance. If you cant make, there is always next year or another meet. We can even plan another meet in another state to make it conveniant for the long haulers. Lets all put our heads together and make this happen. I dont want any "IF'S" or "BUT'S" this is gonna happen with ALL our work and efforts.
You all know you want it to happen, we can actually Represent GM and the COBALT, G5 and ION RL. This will be the talk of the forum for months to come

 

well if we can get a full on date for this i can probably make it...i work weekends but if i know a few weeks in advance i can get the weekend off.
as far as the spot...the further north the better lol....im up in seattle so somewhere in northern cali would be nice please lol.

 

well, i was looking at a map and lake tahoe would be i deally located for the whole west coast, and we could def have a good time there for a weekend. the different regions could organize rolling together.

Tahoe would be nice, is there anyone near there that can look into it.
If we went with Fresno I would do the leg work, but any farther than that is way to far. Anything closer and I will do the leg work.
Any other input besides distance? I would like to see the WA guys out, but if its to far its understanable.

1 Big enough parking lot(cost if any)
2 BBQ area or other means of grub(cost if any)
3 Picture spots
4 Cruise runs
5 any hotels near by (for the people coming a distance)
Anything else you or some one else comes up with
I know there is lots of this stuff there, but first hand visuals will help out alot

i think Tahoe would be a killer meet and would be closer for the northern guys
all us Socal balts would roll up huge, maybe even pick up the Cen cal guys on the way and make everyone get out of the way

 

lake tahoe ftw!! for all those who are 21 and up its not that far from reno either. i can only imagine some of the pics we could get along the lake. if this goes through it would be one hell of a meet.

 

does everyone think we shoulod do this soon or should we wait till spring since its going to be winter in the mountains soon? snow for the meet=bad
