This is your lucky day SoCal SS S/C owners.
My names Mike and I am the shop manger for a newly opened high performance shop in Lake Elsinore Ca. Im not a sponser yet but I'm may become one very soon. As for right now I have a proposition for a few of you local or even non-local, if you want to make a drive, Cobalt SS Supercharged owners. We have been tuning GM LSX based engines for quite some time and are currently looking to expand into the sport compact realm. What I'm offering right now is FREE TUNING. The only thing you will have to buy is the HPTuners credits to tune your car. The HPTuners software for the Ecotec's is identical to the LSX software so tuning them should be no problem. Myself and the owner/tuner dont know anyone with a SS S/C so thats why im reaching out through this forum. If you would like to be one of the lucky few or want some more information please message me here with your name, phone #, and list of mods and I will get back to you and set up a date to bring your car in. I would like to get 1 fairly stock, 1 lightly modified and 1 heavily modified car on the dyno.
Just to clarify any questions, this will be a street tune with a wideband. If you want numbers we have to charge for dyno time as well since we have to use a local shops dyno. Our Dyno is being built and we will be picking it up at SEMA at the end of the month. Rynes, owner/tuner, street tunes are right on the money and require very little tweaking once on the dyno. We tune all cars on the street first to save our customers money on the dyno.
Thanks,
Mike @ CMS

I don't know if you would call it experimenting... Since I started working here I've been trying to expand our operation past LSX engine platforms. I have convinced my boss to venture into the sport compact market and he just wants to get some tuning time on the 2.0 S/C engine. He wants to get some cars in here to do that and we dont know any one with a Cobalt so were offering the tuning to not only help ourselves but also help some of the local guys. Sort of a win win deal. I am a firm believer in word of mouth advertising.
We've been tuning cars for quite a while. We dont just shoot for dyno queen numbers but all around usable power and drivability is number one.
Heres a clip from a car we just put out of the shop 2 weeks ago. 5.7L cam, tune, longtube headers, terrible Y-pipe exhaust and an air lid. He made 396 whp and is taking on a much lighter turbo Integra with a .57 fatboy turbo claiming 360 whp. power to weight he should have smoked our boys Trans Am.
