3rd GEN Projectors $190 with anti glare mod
#352
I do know that on the 2nd Gen, the "eyebrow" bulbs burn out very, very quickly... like within a day sometimes. If you're ever looking for 2nd Gens, think of the look without the eyebrow bulb lit.

when i talked to Patrick he said the company that makes them will not warrenty their projectors anymore, at least for the spider cracks/peeling. i guess they got tired of replacing the lenses with all the spider cracks because Patrick was able to in the past, then they quit doing it one day.

So this is the big clear lense we're talking about right? How about throwing some clear coat on it right when you recieve them? maybe a long shot but who knows. May have to shoot the clear coat on the inside of the lense if thats where the cracks are.

I have 9007 6k kit in stock housing right now, with relay and all that...if I got projectors could I just get a set of replacement H1 bulbs and just use all the same relays and stuff that I have? That would make this easy on time and my wallet.

hmmm lately I havent been pleased with these 3rd gens. I got them back in may and they were completely fine. Now I have tons of those little "stress cracks" all through the lens..and the "anti-glare mod" they did on them worked as far as the glare is concerned above the cutoff line. But whatever compound they used on the shield has "deteriorated" and now there is a nice pinhole in the shield which allows a beam of light above the cutoff line. I'll take pics of it tonight and probably re-edit this reply so you guys can see. If there is any kind of warranty with these then I'd like to find out as I am not very happy with them at all.

What does the DRL module actually do? Please explain this, because as far as I understood the DRL are just low voltage sent to the high beams? Does the HID kit come with both low beam and high beam HIDs?

I am pretty sure thats how I understood it.
