Hey Guys I Just Got My 3rd Gens And Im Wondering How Do You Wire Them Up Because Its Nothing Like The 1st Gens So Can Someone Please Pm Me With Which Wires Go To Which Please And Thank You!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#233
I never even thought about what I ordered...is the plug and play only applicable to the HID kit and not the projectors? If so, I'll need some direction on the wiring of the halo's and whatnot myself as well. Perhaps post it here, or make a how-to? That would be much appreciated!

yea the H.I.D's are plug n play but for wiring the L.E.D's andd halos you got to cut into your factory harness the brown and black wires but i just dont know which wires on the 3rd gens to hook to the brown and black....
#236
Thw white and red wires splice into the brown and the black to the black wires. At least thats how I did it.
06 Coupe here, and I wired the halos/leds into my bigger turn signal, not not small dinky one. T-Taps work wonders for this, and only net about $2.50 for a set of 4; local parts store/wal-mart!

Where exactly are the adjustment screws for these lights located? The only thing i see that looks like it would serve this purpose is on the bottom of the headlight (low beam or outside light) which are silver socket head screws. (2 per side)
Do you have a photo?
Thanks!

--->3rd Generation Cobalt Projectors!!! $210 shipped with anti glare mod.<---
Use the coupon code: 3rdgen during check out for the $210 shipped price.
If you want to do an HID kit at the same time it would be an added $120 for any 4300k-12000k with 35w ballast. On top of that, we will hook the HIDs up for you so when you get them install is as easy as taking out your old headlights, putting in the new ones and more than likely putting the ballast under the new headlights
--->Link to H1 HID kit<--- Most people tend to go with the Plug and Play option, also as for the DRL/Warning Module, if you have an 07+ Cobalt and have not disabled your DRL's you would need them.
Use the coupon code: 3rdgenHID for the projector + HID combo price Note: If you have a 2007 or new Cobalt, you'll need the DRL Modules for the HIDs to work properly, they are an added $10 charge.
Almost everyone now knows what these 3rd gen projectors look like now, but just for reference value
Also the main difference between our projectors and the ones you can get from other vendors or from eBay is when you get them from those guys, when you put HIDs in em, they look like this. That little half moon above the cut off line kind of defeats the purpose of getting aftermarket projectors.
When you get our projectors, they look like so
Both these pictures were taken with 10k HIDs. On top of that, when you buy the projectors with our HID kit, not only will we give you a discount on top of that, we make it completely plug and play for you so all you need to do is mount the ballast and put in your new headlights and you're good to go

Got them installed over the weekend. For the above. Adjusting these is a pain in the rear, I still have some adjusting to do on mine..but easter weekend last week, and this weekend upcoming I'm out of town...Eventually I shall finish I guess
But anyways. There are two adjustment screws in the back, towards the bottom. These screws are for up/down and left right. To move the focus up, you want to LOOSEN both adjustment screws equal turns. To move hte focus down, TIGHTEN each adjusment screw equal turns. IF you want to move the adjustment left or right, well this is the one I'm having trouble figuring out LOL. I will have to spend some more time playing with it, but my guess is just tighting or loosen one of the bolts to move the assly left/right. RIght now I have one that is actually pretty badly aimed to far to the right, it took me some time to figure out how to properly adjust these.....You get very good at pulling the asslys out when your doing this! For me its just hard to find a place to properly do this, my drive way is in a nice downgrade, so its driving around and finding walls to check the lights on.
But anyways..GL and they do look nice, just wish more info on focusing was available

Operatic sent me a pm while I needed help with this. They only adjust up and down, but you have to do both, either loosen/tighten to get desired height.
Mine never needed left/right adjustment, only up and down. Maybe operatic can jump in and clear this up better!

No the low beams do not stay on if the highs are on.

ordering now!! operatic can you make sure that my orders all right. Since the projectors are going to come already connected with the HIDs, all that really needs to be done is connecting the two wires to the stock harness and aiming right?
