Take it easy and check all of your connections. Keep in mind that the wiring note that came in the box for the harness is incorrect. What kit do you have?

It took me about 2 full weekends to get mine working right and aimed correctly. If you are like me and have never done this before, it's a bit confusing without having a good set of step by step instructions with correct wiring diagrams.

Please check your connections. 99% of the time its connected wrong. Ive swapped your pins but just to make sure, it should be Orange/Black/Blue on the 9007 plug. Also the plug that connects to your ballast should be the Orange/Black wires. The one that connects to your Highbeam shutter is Blue/Black. Most common problem is users are using the headlight bracket for the GND which does not work on most cars. Try the fender bolt.

Make sure your ballasts are not plugged in backwards.

I've had 2 issues that I've been noticing. First is when I turn the brights on to where they stay on, they initially come on very bright and then they dim down. I've had other people in the car who have noticed this too.

My other issue is that if I start the car and the lights are on, the drivers side flashes in the same timing as the motor turning over.

Any ideas?

Your high beam thing seems to be common with the new morimoto harness's. If you would like, I can email them and see if they would swap out your new harness with there old style. You would have to re-crimp the connectors for the high beam wires. I was told by them that after there used for a bit that weird thing goes away.

As for the flashing, Prob the voltage drop when you turn the car over. You have removed your DRL fuse correct?

Damn that's a lot of work for the brights, but it may be worth it... I guess you probably don't know, but would the brights on the old harness stay that real bright color they are at first, or do they come on at the dim level that mine settle out at? I'm curious as to what can cause this issue with the harness, I mean it's all just a bunch of wires and 2 relays? They say that the issue goes away after a while, that would lead me to think that it is the relays?

Yeah the DRL is out. This only happens when the car is in a dark area, so the lights are on. As long as it's not indicative of a dying ballast or bulb I don't really care.

Also HIDs when turned on are bright then dim but slowly get a tad brighter over a few secs. Just how they warm up. For some reason the harness on cobalts, makes the lights do this when switched to highs, I wouldnt worry about it much, If a ballast or bulb does fail, Just PM me and well replace it!
