Anybody get new tires for their pedders yet? I'm still on the stock conti's, but I would like either 245/40/18's or 255/35/18's. I believe either should fit without bulging, and I don't think they 'should' rub, right? Thoughts? What would you get?

If I end up putting the rear stockers back on there'll definetly be pix lol

Whelp, no hella-rake pictures guys, I ended up melting/trimming the plastic bumpstop edges and making the springs fit. Inital reports indicate a 1.5" drop on the front at 1/4 in the back, had trouble with the rears seating correctly, I'll hit some bumps tomorrow to fix it.

I noticed when I pulled them out of the boxes that they look a bit tight (on the back springs)....hopefully there won't be any issues...I'm hoping to put mine in either Thurs or Friday. I'm off from work so I'll do it during the day...if I have issues at least I have extra time to get it taken care of.

Alright heres another update guys, I melted the bumpstop ridges down flat and once I got the bumpstops partally into the springs I hit them on the floor to get them the rest of the way in. The springs lean slightly foreward when placed on the ground, put that lean so its leaning towards the front of your car when you install them, that is all! Oh and amazing ride!

Thanks for the tip...I'll make sure to do that tomorrow morning when I install. I have everything ready to go, just need to figure where I'll get my alignment when I'm done.

Install Tips:
1. Get a blowtorch to melt the rear plastic bumpstops. These springs don't quite fit. ( I actually used my wife's creme brulee torch, lol)
2. Loosen the strut nut before taking the front strut/spring out.
3. Getting the driver side steering rack spacer in sucks. Good luck.

Have fun! The drop is definitely nice, now I'm going to take it for the first test drive!

Is this a common problem?

People with coilovers can run a 235.

What are you trying to run?
So 235/40/18 will fit? NICE!

So far as I know yes, just melt the bumpstops a bit and you're good to go.

To be honest I probably will have my GMPP dealer do the swap for me....so if I have to melt or change the bump stops they will give me a hard time for having it installed on my ride if anything else goes wrong....

Is the melting true for an SS/SC?

If your dealer swaps your springs for you then you have the coolest dealer ever. My dealer won't come within 100 yards of aftermarket parts for my car.
