When i had my power locks put in it was set up so when i locked and unlocked the car the lights come on.

My question is: Is it bad to have the new hid's come on and off when unlocking the car? or is it harmful and i need to have it changed?

I wouldn't myself. You can change the settings in the DIC. I just have my amber's flash.

The headlights and fogs warm up when the car is unlocked and when i lock the car the amber signals and fogs flicker

Yes but when you open the door they turn off..then start the car they turn on.. id change them so therer off unless there turned on.

what? its not good for them to be on for 15 seconds? then off for 5, then on again?

there is no light setting in the dic
im a 2.2l dont know if thats relevant to to changing the settings

I changed it on both my 2.2 and 2.0. 2.2 was a 2005 and my ss is a 2009.

the settings i saw were oil life, and lock delay cant remember the others
