7k is a stiffer spring than the 5k or what? Does it make that big of a difference?

Recently purchased new continental extreme contact dws 225/45/zr18 on stock 05 SS/SC rims and was wondering if im even able to "lower" from stock since i have slightly larger tires than the stock 215 size. its pretty close to touching inside of fender as is when wheel is turned all the way in either direction. any help would be greatly appreciated...

pic of car after install the top center of wheel wells on the outside of fenders measures just a hair over 24 inches. Picture was shot with my phone so quality is not the best.
