What kind of switch are we talking about here? If you're talking about a Hobbs Switch. That would be no because a switch is not needed unless you are going to raise the transition opening to something different other than ~10-11PSI. I can put a different actuator rating on there if ANYONE would like. It's always going to stay closed unless you break over the ~10PSI mark. But.... if you want to set it something higher you can control it a few ways:
- Manual Boost Controller
- Hobbs Switch
- Electronic Boost Controller
- Choose the appropriate wastegate actuator spring rating for something higher

i know what im buying this is a great idea..so basically you have to hook a vacuum line to the actuator on the exhaust then itll open at 10psi right? Also im guessing your gonna need to cut your downpipe/exhaust to weld this in?

Yeah.... no toggle switch. Guys! This is epic. I personally would drive a stock exhaust for the ultimate sleeper look and then when I punch it, this thing would be a monster!!

What would be the purpose of this when this item can be applied to any vehicle that has forced induction? What are you getting at here?
Yes. I can change the actuator for just about anything you'd like. I can do 15psi I believe.

Will a lower displacement motor such as the Cobalt reach 55whp gains on a stock turbo? Absolutely not and nor did I infer you would. I merely gave an example as to this part allowing for more power to happen along with the unregistered statistics such as turbo response and transition time between shifts that can not be measured. Remember, NASCAR says it best and it's true, "the best exhaust....is no exhaust at all." And this holds true in N/A and especially turbo.

My apologies if it comes off that way but text does not transfer emotion well. But there's nothing defensive about it. I like facts over "hear say." And he didn't ask a question, he made a speculative inquisition as to the supra not really making that much power in real world and thus this would be mean a cobalt will only make 5whp more. I don't follow speculation or gossip. I follow the facts on hand and its data. The data and dyno time shows directly that that boost cut-out WILL make more power and there was nothing fake about the 50whp+ more on the Supra. Also because I was there when they did the video considering it was filmed by a very good friend.

I think this would sell well for the 2.0T guys on Genesis Forum: GenCoupe Hyundai Genesis Forums - Your Hyundai Genesis Coupe Community

If someone thinks they will get 55whp+ more, that would not be logical. The Supra has much more displacement. But they will make more power period. This is fact. If anyone believes in bumping the boost, adding an intake or getting a bigger exhaust. This is just another viable solution for making more power. If someone wants to put it on and make more power, hey... more power to them. No pun intended. Let them share with the community.
