OK so my question is if it says to use all your original hardware then what's the extra 4 screws and 2 bolts for?

Or was that just referring to the latch and lighting and stuff?

I don't know. that's on the blade? I'm not sure that opening or closing the trunk is the issue. Washing the car might. I've never had an aftermarket body panel on a street driven car. I think someone else will have to give you an opinion. I'm just going to paint mine, so touching up a crack wouldn't be an issue for me.

Tommy, my conjecture, without actually seeing it, is for the trunk lock mechanism. Or for an aftermarket lift cylinder with lighter pressure. I am only guessing until I get the thing unwrapped, which I'm not really in a hurry to do. I'm not sure if missing the lock cylinder would change the mount of the lock mechanism. I'm just guessing, really. It's not addressed in the included instruction sheet.

I didn't have any issues with the third brake light, installed fairly easy.

shorter the bolt the better, you don't want to hit the carbon from the inside.

The stock ones that go on to the trunk latch might be too long, they seemed long when we did it, so we replaced them with shorter ones. The ones for the locks and tail lights should be fine.

oh my.. how are you going to keep the trunk shut? I'm not talking about the key hole, just the locking mechanism. this way you can still open your trunk via your trunk release in your car.

Jesus, it's not that hard.

1. Remove inner taillights/third brake light
2. Remove lock cylindar
3. Unbolt/remove trunk lock (make sure to unplug the plug)
4. Pull fastening plugs (the plastic ones that hold the wires to the trunk)
5. Pull wires out and set in trunk.
6. Unbolt the four bolts that hold the brackets (A partner would be helpful)

zzzOMG no moar trunk lid!!!!!!!!!

reverse process for install.
