Sorry boss I don't pack your shipments. I will take blame as far as I can take it, this part was pre-packed with the part number from the Cobalt but you received the G5, I can't do much there. This is killing me as well since its Canada.

For those of you that have installed your trunks, what method have you used to figure out where to drill the holes for the reverse lights and where to drill for the trunk latch? Did you just measure or use some kind of transfer method? I figure the reverse lights will be simple enough but I'm concerned about getting the trunk latch in the right spot on the first try. I definitely only want to drill the holes once! lol

A lot of measuring, measure everything you think needs to be measured. Also, we used a piece of tape, covered the hole cut out the hole then used the outline as a guide to cut.

dip the ends of the screws that are on the taillight in some grease like substance, this way all you have to do is put it up to our trunk and use the marks to drill in. The trunk latch, make sure you measure that one out.

Well it was a pita but I got it done earlier today. Still have fitment issues though. I got fed up trying to make adjustments and line everything up so I'll get back at it another day. Did everybody who installed theirs also use the rubber bump stops or not? And what were the 4 screws for? Nothing needed screws. It was just 4 bolts for the trunk, 2 bolts for the third brake light, and 3 bolts for the trunk latch.

I didn't put them on yet so maybe that will help with the fitment. What about the 4 screws? I didn't see any use for those. I seem to recall them being mentioned but I read back through several pages and couldn't find anything.

Because the trunk didn't come with studs you'll have to use the screws to reverse mount the latches on, you'll need wide washers.

Still hoping to see some pics of this whenever you get a chance.

Did anybody keep the trunk shocks installed with this trunk or did everybody remove them?

Remove them. They are so stiff that you could damage the trunk with them on when you try to close it. They will also be pushing up too hard on the trunk when it is latched. If you keep on only one you'll twist the trunk. I do believe that it is possible to buy lighter ones, Khurram may be able to steer you to them.

So I believe I just remove those metal clips at the top and bottom of the shocks to be able to remove them, is that right?
