hm so your upset about something you haven't even attempted yet? It might be easier then your making it out to be. I am sure someone will do a DIY eventually, but until you come back try not to stress about it.

You are blowing this entirely out of proportion. If drilling two holes for the tail light mounts equates to "modifying the light buckets" then clearly neither this nor any other aftermarket trunk lid is for you.

Yes they had a Cobalt to model from. But every car is slightly different and every piece of hand laid fiberglass and CF cures slightly different. Maybe you've never worked with this stuff before? You sure come across that way. The perfect little utopian vision your spinning doesn't match any experience I've ever had. Not in 25 years of being around this stuff.

But if you want to just throw it on there sure. You can do that. You'll be done in 20 minutes. Mind you it'll look exactly like you just threw it on there. Personally, I want a little better so I put in the effort to get there.

I'm thrilled with what I got when I got this trunk. It was exactly what I expected to get and I couldn't ask for more than that. I have no idea why all the hate in this thread. All I can figure is that some of the people posting here have unrealistic expectations. And of course, this is CSS.net.

Ya I agree. You see race cars and think they look good. Look up close. Their cf panels are hacked. I get doing some things. I just hope my spoiler tips are ok.

Who the hell wants to drill the lock mech out?! Why!? Just leave it be pretty and clean. I've never used a key on a trunk ever.

Some people don't wanna bother with the hassle of making, something that is made for our car, fit.

Ya but just look at 99% of any ody part and it needs small adjustments to fit. I wish this was buy and install perfect fit but I get it.. It's hand made and sort of hard to get 100% perfect. You guys have it easy. Go to an expensive car and you'll pay a **** load more for anything. That's the issue with the cobalt. Young people who think everything is a cake walk and should be perfect.

Enough bitching. Ask about how to install or the trunk, no more of this complaining crap. We know..it's been said we are done. Let's move on with constructive talk.

I learned to drive in a 72 Vega. My first car was a '76 Monza. When your 93 Taurus was built? I bought my second Peterbilt in May '93.
