I'm getting cold feet saving for a turbo swap you guys are about to make me deposit!!!! Haha the TVS might take another victim... the headache of a turbo swap is so worth it in the end but if I ever END up getting it is another question.. When I've got tvs money in hand.....:/ this is a harder decision than picking a favorite song to test new subs too..

That's true, I've heard the TVS isn't as loud as the m62? I love the whine on mine, haven't drove it since December :/ been in garage. I'm bringing it home when I get back from working outta town. Hopefully next weekend.

Its a different whine, but not quite as loud. Still screams with a 2.7 pulley.

 

But really I'm on the fence like Griffey... So with long tubes no cat 80lbinjectors and a smaller pulley plus ls4 throttle body will the TVS give me 350hp?

 

That's what I'm getting for it, I didn't get an exhaust yet. Is that something I should get and put on before the TVS?
I didn't want to make the total over 3k.

I got option b kit, duel pass end plate, 2.8" pulley, 3" intake. Should I get anything else, to get me up and running? Only thing I can think of that I'll need is injectors, not sure which ones would be best. Also ls4 or no. (I'll probably just order whatever else separately)

Ok ill answer for both of you. If you follow my build you will make more than 350 whp. If you dont have E85 you will likely make closer to 330 whp. My build is in my sig.

That's good to know, I was plannin on a build very similar to yours

Only thing I was gonna do different were different injectors(don't want to slap the siemens 80's in there) and eventually I wanted stage 4 cams from ottp but that'll have to wait for now

 

What fuel are you going to run? There are better options than the 80's however they arent as cheap. on pump gas you would realistically only need 60's E85 will need a lot more though.

When I do this build I want to make sure I do it right while leaving room for improvements... This year I just want to get all the bolt ons I need, next year I'm plannin to do a full rebuild and I'm probably gonna run nos at some point... So trying to account for all that lol.

 

I know you told me to turbo, but I got this because I could still run e85 just would have to get 55gal drums probably. I might start off on pump, I know it won't be as much power gains but I'm going to probably do what you did at some point.
I'll probably only be driving on weekends. Someone said there's e85 in uniontown but I haven't been home to check, can't find anything online saying there is.

Yeah I will, I'm thinking by April I'll have TVS and everything else I want. And I'll start putting it all on, getting a tune etc. Might be able to find somewhere with it by then. Never see supercharged cars, partly why I wanted to do this.

Talked to a fuel guy at work, he said the company he works for can special order e85 and he can get vp racing fuel. That's 110 octane I think,and more expensive I'm assuming. Said he will find out how much it is.

Asked him about e85, he said what do you have, his second guess was right.

I could, how hard is it to learn. Or would I just use it to have someone send me files?

There's an e85 station ten mins from me, and it's on the way to work, Pittsburgh, or anywhere I'd be going. I'm downloading the app from that site to see where others are at.

Its not easy to learn. And if you have it then you can have someone remote tune you. I would get the pro version and a wideband if you plan on getting it.
