Hi BlueThunder13,

The Cobalt SS/SC short shifter will only fit cars with a reverse lock like the SS/SC and SS/TC. If your 08 sport 2.4 does not have a reverse lock (if you do not have to lift up on a collar to put the shifter in reverse) then you would want this short shifter for the non SS/SC: TWM Cobalt Short Shifter

Thanks,

Kevin

Yes, the shift knobs on the pictures don't have the shift pattern engraved, but it gives you a good idea of the different finishes.

Satin

Mirror

Stainless

Flat Black

Gun Metal

Thanks,

Frank

The weighted shift knob we sell with the Cobalt SS/TC short shifter comes standard with the engraving, however if you want a plain shift knob with no engraving, there is a comment section when you order from the site where you can write down that you don't want the engraving. We'll make sure to ship a plain shift knob with the finish you want.

The pre-order price is no more available, but I suggest you guys to check out the different discount opportunities on www.twmperformance.com to save on your next purchase.

Thanks,

Frank

I LOVE mine except for two things...

1. The shift boot has a hole worn through it where it was rubbing on the precisely CNC cut corner of the shifter... On the passenger side...

2. That shift ball is cold as hell on these winter-like PA mornings... And it doesn't warm up easily lol...

Haha yea from "A Christmas Story"... Yea my drive to work is only like 10 mins and no matter how warm my car is, the shift knob is frigid the entire drive!!!

I know it's not TWM's fault, but anyone else have any shift boot rippage from this..? I have a small hole..

yeah i know what both of you mean with the cold but it makes you want to speed so you can shift it and get it into gear so you dont have to shift anymore also like you said the heat will probably be really hot maybe still have to wear gloves in the sumer time

This is the first issue we have heard of with shift boot wear. Our test car has had the shifter installed for quite some time with no issues. Was the boot already cracked or worn when the short shifter was installed?

As for the shift knob getting cold, I drive with gloves in the winter. In the summer if I leave my car in the sun for a long time I put a baseball cap over the knob to prevent it from getting too hot.

Thanks,

Kevin
