yeah my H&R race springs only made one wheel off a 1/6th of an inch. but i do you think i should cut my rear bump stops? i have about 3-4 inches (eye balled) of travel space when the car is on the ground.

Don't think! Just follow the instructions properly. Eibach went to the trouble of doing all the engineering for you.

well the H&R race springs didn't have anything shown. i can look again but i have taken it out on my test road and i haven't felt it bottom out. so i think i am fine.

just cut them their easy in the back anyway..... I fixed mine... believe me people you wanna cut ur bump stops that was my problem with a horrible clunkin noise every time i hit anything in the road and now its gone due to me cuttin the bump stops

That' would be H&R. The person I was qouting was using Eibach, which does have very specific instructions.

it seems to me that cutting your bump stops would make your rear shocks take a crap faster as its allowing for more suspension travel

so possibly a smoother ride yes but it seems at the chance of your shocks crapping out quicker than normal

still haven't cut mine yet with Sprint springs...

No, that's not a problem. The amount of travel wont effect the life of your shock. It's how well the seals hold up. The main killer of shocks and struts is literally time. As the seals gets older, they lose their effectiveness. Use really doesn't mess them up that much.

I will be installing sportlines this weekend some time. I will cut the bump stops. Now do i or dont I need a camber kit. And will I need a allignment? And yes I read all the post. But keep getting different answers. Thanks greatly appreciated.

Do NOT need a camber kit.

DO need an alignment.

There is some dispute about whether or not the cam-style bolt camber kit will even fit this car. I say no, others say yes. But regardless, you shouldn't even need to start with.

When you get your alignment, everything might be just fine. But it most likely won't be. Which is why you need to go get one and find out.

Well. It all depends on how you take out your front struts. I took the top nuts off both strut towers first, then took nuts and bolts off of the knuckes. It all depends on how your process is to take out the front struts. And yes, cut your bump stops. I cut mine a little more than reccomended to allow break-in and travel over bumps. Very smooth ride.

What? The order in which you take off the hardware has nothing to do with anything. And cutting the bump stops more then instructed just allows the springs to compress more to potentially the point of coil bind. There is no advantage to it, only possible problems.

couldn't get a clear answer... i just got my progress springs a lil while back, do i need a camber kit? couldn't tell from the info sheet but is it necessary to cut ALL the bumpstops in half / fronts only / backs only?

I believe Progress is one of those companies that doesn't supply instructions. A call to their support phone line might be in order.

You don't need a camber kit.

I put sportlines on my 2.2L a few weeks ago. Has anybody else noticed that the back end seems to sit lower then the front of the car? I'ts a very little difference if any, but to me it looks liek the back end is lower

Ok I just bought my car and I've been looking into getting sportlines. What happens if I don't cut the bump stops so that if i have any suspension problems I can throw the stock springs back on and take it in for warranty work

Your being paranoid. The addition of springs will not result in a problem. Follow your springs directions correctly and cut the stops.

the only way u can mess up is if u dont torque everything properly or you are a idiot and try to install them upside down or the front springs on the back or the back on the front

Can I DIY my own alignment, I got a quote for $75 and I dont like the sound of that so much. I have an very LARGE arrangement and variety of tools.
