Control arm bushings/Homemade press

Both driver and passenger control arm bushings have seperated from the steel collar. So I picked these up from RockAuto and plan on doing this tommorrow.

I welded this thing up today to press in the new bushings. I tested it out on a control arm I had laying around from my other car and It seems to work.

My Homemade Cobalt Control Arm Bushing Press.....Wish me luck

I still need to secure the bottle jack and make another change to an obvious design flaw.

My Moog control arm bushings are Made in China, but handled and installed in the good old USA.

Both bushings fell out when I removed the control arms, and the Homemade press worked as expected.

New bushings made a HUGE difference up front. Noise and vibrations are gone.

I also mounted the 18's with new Michelin tires.

Next up.. alignment

Very satisfied

What size tubing did you use to push on the metal sleeve when installing the new bushing and what size did you use for the bottom. Also how did you get the old metal sleeve out
