H&R Springs ////rust

Whats up guys I was looking for your opinion on something Ive owned my lnf cobalt for about a week now I Recently picked up a set of H&R springs up for 50$ off Craigslist. Im a Lil concerned about the amount of rust on the rear springs the front are fine. I started wire wheeling the and I planned on coating them with rustolem and plasti dip. Do you guys think there to far gone? Last thing I want is a cracked spring. Also my bolt has about 95k and the struts feel strong are the lnf struts strong enough to hold lowering springs without blowing them out in a week.

have them blasted and re coated...... rust is pretty normal on springs. I would swap out struts as your going to blow yours probably really quick with the lowering springs. them h&rs are pretty low.

me and him are just going to lay waste to other cars in the area, hes not going to be on road course or auto x. maybe just 1/4 tracks.

With Konis, and Powell products I treyvon martin other cars in the area on winding new England back roads, If he gets konis, and say a powell xxx rear swaybar, he could do the same. You should see some of the crap in our area.

im not saying its bad on the konis. im saying its bad on the stock struts. not to mention on stock stuff the side sucks too. do remember ive had multiple sets of these on my previous cobalt and i was never happy with anyhing other then the ride height. im sure on konis are they are much better but i got the powell springs which for handling the h&rs wont come close in an all over comparison.

I agree 100%, just saying after knowing the kid for the past ten years, I know that's not an area where he will be looking to squeeze every bit of advantage from.
