My Powell YYZ Install pics and Comparison
alright so my 2006 SS/NA has 174K miles. I had Sportlines for years, then went to SSC's. the SSC's were a much better ride with a little more drop. anyway i've always thought about doing AutoX, and then these went on sale a few weeks ago, i should have my hardcore bar soon as well.
anyway onto the pics.
Before: SSC Springs 205/55R16 Snow tires/wheels
here is the order( the driveway isnt exactly flat) LF,LR,RR,RF
After: YYZ v2 Springs 205/55R16 Snow tires/wheels
here is the order( the driveway isnt exactly flat) LF,LR,RR,RF
here are the rear springs next to each other:
Front:
Difference in Wire Dia. Didnt think to do this with the rears.
SSC
YYZ v2
sorry its upside down.
Overall i love the way the YYZs rode today. i installed them this AM and then headed to work around 1. its 38 mile trip. some of the normal bumps that i come across at the same bridges were noticeably better with the YYZs Vs the SSCs. also the car has less body roll through turns and weight transfer from front to rear when taking off is less. if you ask anyone who lives around here the SE Expressway is horrible. the expansion joints int he bridges are atrocious. the highway is practically one long bridge, with turns. when going 70 and taking them the expansion joint would caus ehte rear of the car to shift in the turn, its almost no existent now with the YYZ's they seem to hold the car to the road very well.
Cliffnotes: buy the YYZs if you want a comfortable ride and better handling, Duh!

good review. and thats why i love my SSC springs lol. they do exactly what there suposed to do..they lower your car more that most springs out there imo...now want performace and handling, get the YYZs

regardless, really the only deciding factor in this is looks between V1 and V2.. for us all season guys, if you getting stuck in V2's in snow your likely going to get stuck in V1's as well (considering the height difference between them isnt THAT much). We just got 15" dumped on us here in 1.5 days and the handling has been great in the low traction situations with my V1 YYZ's and Hardcore bar. by great, I mean as good as possible considering my tires are next to bald

lol not very fun at times!
haha im sure they will move on. gonna post the ad now....
Considering the car is on snow tires, i dont feel like i can push it as far as i can on my summer tires, so i havent, but i threw the car into an off ramp last night at about 45 and she stuck just fine. not alot of bodyroll. im still amazed at how well this "Performance" spring rides.

hahaha yes it is, i drive up there everyday for work. right when they are moving the wall out into the Northbound side so everyone else can leave. people are so afraid of that damn truck that moves the wall they damn near stop in the left lane.

I hated that road so much I used to go the back way to Northeastern, through Dedham and up the Arborway. Eventually I gave that **** up and took the train out of Sharon.

Thanks man, i really want to fix the nose now. i have a few other little things to do. Hardcore bar, I have a small exhaust leak, not sure if its a flange gasket or flex pipe, but its up front, and CABs. there willl be more, but thats what i got right now, hoping to do some autox this year.
