Probably start with the hardcore bar. Your gonna come across situations, especially pushing hard on the street, where your gonna have to brake during cornering. If you don't know what your doing your gonna get yourself in serious trouble.

Tell ya what, for all the guys debating on what bar to buy:
1) Go to your car and put 60 psi in the rear tires
2) find a big open parking lot
3) do about 50 mph and start making a smooth but sharp turn
4) snap your foot off the gas

Did you...
1) shat a little and stomped the brakes and spun = street bar
2) got back on the gas and corrected = hardcore bar
3) thought it was fun and repeated the process at 70 mph = XXX bar

no seriously go do this :twothumbs

All of PRS parts are Hardcore

"XXX(Tripple X) Rear Sway Bar"

Ronn2005 05-03-2011 03:42 PM

Lol ok I know I am splitting hairs, but I think for standardization purposes we need to call this bar by the correct name, or else in the future people are going to get confused.

Take a look at the pictures, what we are calling the Powell Racing - "XXX" - 1.5" rear sway bar has a sticker on it that says Powell Hardcore Race Parts. Shouldn't we be calling it the Powell Hardcore Bar?

90% of the people on here are gonna have a better handling car on pedders due to lack of knowledge of how to properly set-up coilovers.

-TurboSS- 05-03-2011 11:57 PM

Yeah they only make v2's for cobalts. I have a set of v3's I bought for my focus. Wish I got to try them before I sold the car. V3's still for sale btw if anyone knows anyone with a focus that wants some great coilovers. ;)

Not true. The v1's are adjusted from the factory. If you aren't competent with suspension setup they would be a great setup.

09sscalicobalt 05-04-2011 12:07 AM

haha hes saying most people are not competent with suspension thus they wouldnt be able to adjust them correctly

kw only makes one good set for cobalts.... all the rest of the coilovers suck. dont think because you spend 1k and hear the word coilover they are good....there no such this as a good coilover for under 1999

how would you properly use any of the coilovers for the balt then? according to wangspeed all of the coilovers are pretty much garbage and the best set up to go with is pedders + koni yellows adjustable struts. he knows his shit too, i dont tho. lol

thats pretty much right. even with a corner balance and all the other non sense it still wont make up for shitty valving, crappy chiwanese material, etc etc.
