not having a good day
ok so I am changing my control arm bushings, actually just bought new control arms, lucky for me. I got one side done, on the other side I ran into a nasty issue. taking out the rear bolt for control arm, it started to spin and wouldn't come out. I had to cut off the control arm around the bolt and cut the bushing away, here is my issue, somehow the metal shaft that goes through the control arm bushing that the bolt goes through has rusted to the bolt, I don't get it cause there are no threads in there, now I cant get the bolt out cause that damn shaft wont let me. I tried vice gripping it and trying but it will not budge. penetrating oil wont work, don't have anything that produces enough heat. im trying to get some ideas before I just cut the bastard off and wait till Monday to get a new bolt. any ideas?

exactly. Tom drop the cradle. I have new bolts and stainless washers with new nuts I can mail to you Monday, and you can eliminate the broken parts.
Andrew is right, check out the thread I made. Any help you need just text me or email. it does suck.

I got it out. Using cut off disks of various sizes, sawall, and finally a mini hack saw which took about an hour. Gonna go get a new bolt Monday at Gm and put it back together. Old bushing was effed. Was spinning in the control arm, other one on other side was torn. Put on new control arms and antiseazing everything.
John if u have stainless bolts for the controls arms I'm interested, text me what u got. I'll switch em out.

I just thank God the threads in the subframe didn't strip, all this happened when the bolt was out of the threads already and should have just fallen out.
Also had to cut off the end links I was changing, but that wasn't to hard
