possible issue with lowering springs?

ok im not sure if i should be worried or not but im pretty sure my car is getting lower, at least in the rear...

I have H&R sport springs i believe (possibly race idk) and yes I've added alot of weight to my car especially in the rear end (I'm guessing from 500-1000+) the springs have been on my car about 2 and a half years. I doubt this helps but the tires rolled my fenders for me and my shocks/struts are pretty busted up.

I just noticed this morning that my rear tires are tucked like a **** but I'm used to them being even with the fender line. I just added a little bit of weight but nothing too crazy. So my question is this: will too much weight ever be a problem on lowering springs? I still have my stock springs if that might be a better option but since i don't know **** about this i figured id ask. as i said before the shocks are busted but that shouldn't effect ride height would it?

your springs could be sagging... maybe.. or your shocks could be shot

he has a ton of audio equipment. Anyways, you may need to go with a different rear setup if thats the case. You can replace the parts but they are gonna give out again in the not so distant future if the weight doesnt lighten up. You'll end up replacing the parts again and again

shocks will go out when you have audio in your trunk... its just the way it is.. they wern't made with the thought of anyone putting over 100lbs or what ever in the trunk so when that is constantly in there theres more stress and that means more things that will go bad. Id say replace your shocks as long as your springs dont look bent

yeah usually the added weight is an added stress point on your shocks and springs. your best bet would be to maybe go with a spring or an adjustable coilover that doesnt lower the car as much in the rear to compensate since the car seems to be for audio and not performance.

right... ok im sure they are just sagging from the weight then. I do know for a fact my shocks in the back as busted. how bad i cant tell you but i started being able to tell and they've been getting progressively worse for about a year

My plan has been koni's all the way around for a while but ive been being cheap so maybe now is the time to do it. what I'm worried about is exactly what darkcobalt13 said. the weight busting everything in its path. I don't necessarily mind the super low stance and if the springs arent going to break or anything then how it is now with new shocks in the back is fine with me. Or putting the stockers back on + new shocks works or even buying some springs meant for more weight in the back + new shocks works for me too. I really just want to get it done right and be done with it but i don't want buy something that's not going to work in the end... the weight isn't going to change and will probably get worse so

Just strap her to the top of the car and the weight will be distributed evenly

I've got 4 12's in my trunk and it does carry the back end lower quite a bit. how tight are your coils bound in the back?

would coilovers handle the weight better then springs and konis?

bags probably would but ive only driven one car with bags and i was very disappointed in the handling

I would honestly get some airbags for the rear.... heavy duty... and that way you can keep it level and adjust them for the added weight!

first thing i would do is replace the shocks and while your there check the springs for bent or brokeness. next thing i would recomend would be drag bags and pump them up a bit to help with the weight. you could try foot ***** to see if that helps before spending the cash on drag bags. but from what i see the drag bags will take some stress off the springs and shocks.
