FYI most of the stance coil over guys throw away the isolators. Please email me if you want to exchange the springs. Please also let me know if they are making noise because of the isolator fit. I dont believe they will. They may make noise when the dead coils touch, some folks have said they hear it, I have not experienced that.
I paid about $373 shipped from CED. I'm sorry, if that was not clear. At this point, they are not making any noise, but I did not try them without my "fix". I would like the updated version when they are available if the freight can be covered. With most companies, the buyer is responsible for return shipping and I did not want to have to pay more. That is the reason I did not contact you about it in the first place.

I will be sending yo an email shortly.

I will ask why the shipped price was 373 instead of 360 and let you know. I will not pay freight for a spring which is not faulty, although as I said I will replace the rear springs on an exchange good will basis. And you are right, the buyer is responsible for return shipping in this case. Hope this helps.

Okay OBZ here it is. We own and inventory the YYZ springs which are made in the USA to save cross border movements. If you buy from CED Tom charges whatever the shipping is. If you buy from us Gloria simplifies things with a flat 360 shipped anywhere in the USA; Tom ships it for us and we pay for that . Sometimes we lose on it/ Here is how Gloria put it:

"shipping out of CED, if purchased from CED , is CED pricing. NOT mine.. If they order from ME, its $360.00; so if they order from CED, they pay whatever the shipping is.. that is what TOM charges. I sometimes loose money on a $360.00 shipped price.. But for sure , depending on where they live, shipping may be lower than $360; sometimes higher. The actual spring price is the same, whether you buy from Powell RaceParts or CED."
so thats the reason OBZ. I guess Salt Lake is a hike from Illinois... The guys in Ohio, Indiana and Wisconsin are closer ....

Ok, understandable. Next question, would I have to ship them to Canada or to CED?

I do understand the shipping charges, I just wasn't aware you charged a flat rate on them. The reason I bought them from CED rather than you directly was I figured buying inside the U.S. would be cheaper on shipping. Shipping across the border is rough as I'm sure you are all to aware.

I had the same "problem" on my v.2 springs... After a few weeks of driving, the car was jacked up, and the rear springs are in there pretty dang solid. They aren't going anywhere.

Car goes to Road America for the weekend on Friday. I'm not worried.

Me too. Oh wait, we helped eachother install thiers, on the same night . I'm not sure I'd want to go through all of that trouble again to swap the springs.

A little use of a heat gun goes a long way. Did you guys not read the writeup John has about using one to make it easier?

Oh yeah, we used a heat gun alright. we even shaved down the little lip at the end of the isolator too. I read his write up.

Powell xyz springs

I've had the v1 xyz springs for maybe 5k miles including an autox almost every weekend for the last several months of 2012 and several already in 2013. I've never noticed any noise, and they certainly haven't moved any noticeable amount. In short, they are excellent springs, so I don't consider the isolator issue a problem.
