FWIW I had my car with V2 up on the lift Saturday for 4 hours. We used the body points and the suspension was hanging in whatever way it wanted. After about 2 hours or so I remembered this thread and went to the back of the car and gave the springs a good hard yank. They didn't move and any way. I did swap from the stock shocks to Konis after that. Maybe they would let the suspension droop more and let the springs come loose. I don't know. Didn't look afterwards.

I also have an update. (first post updated as well)
I was able to test the springs this past weekend at a local SCCA autoX event and was able to beat a long time competitor of mine in his STI! We are usually within about a half a second of each other, but this time I beat him by about half a second! The car felt great! Solid, planted, not bouncy at all and transitions in the solemn felt much better!
Overall, I am really liking these springs so far. I am glad to see everyone verifying that the isolator issue is not a problem. It really alleviates my concerns, so I don't think I am going to bother with getting new ones.
Thanks for another fine product John!

I did the rear Konis last weekend. Haven't tracked them yet, but from driving around town I was startled at just how much more settled the back end is. I need fronts now and to upgrade from hardcore to xxx.

Nice, I am also looking at upgrading to the XXX. I just need someone local to buy my hardcore bar. But I think I'll be doing the Rear Koni shocks first. I have ss/sc rear shocks on there now due to a deal gone wrong, but it seems to be a bit unsettled back there. I can definitely feel that I would benefit from better dampers.

There is some sort of weird feeling in the rear though. My thoughts are is its related to the rear shocks. Almost feels like it wants to tip over until it reaches the stiffer rates in the spring. I'm sure some Koni's will fix that though.

Yes! I had that. It felt like the ass end was way up in the air and took forever to settle down in a left-right-left. The Konis made the back feel properly connected. Still feels like a lot of rake, but at least now with the Konis the back end no longer feels disconnected and out of control back there. Big improvement.

just stick an xXx man bar in the back and it wont tip over
lol
I ran fe5 for ever. Koni rears are better no doubt but its not the end of the world.
unless you track it.
with Z2 or slicks

Ok will someone please tell me definitively that YYZs are the ultimate springs to pair with fe5 struts shocks for performance, not lowering. Will I be doing myself a disservice by spending more on springs that are too much for fe5? And would I be better off just saving my money and getting CM springs?
I want the ultimate in performance and I can afford $360 for springs but if I wouldn't be getting my money's worth by pairing them with fe5 stuff then I'll just get something cheaper.
And I just installed new fe5 last night so don't tell me to get konis.
PS I have an LT with fe5 and a rear sway bar.

Oh I see. I wasn't sure his car had regular fe5 shocks and struts. Thank you! I'm definitely getting me a set next pay day.

Another thing I noticed the other day going around a freeway interchange, is that when I hit the little road connection bumps, the car doesn't bounce as much and want to get out of control. With my coilovers I had to hold on for dear life if I took it at speed because it would literally hop to the next lane over. With these springs i simply feel the bump but have no traction loss.
