rear axle

anybody know where i can get a really good deal on a rear axle for my 2 door ls? mines bent, also if i could get a ss i believe its called a stiff ride rear axle for cheap that would be great, and its an 07 cobalt too. if one could be found in either stiff or soft ride for 1000$ or less i would really appreciate to know. thanks.

when i had mine replaced it cost about 4000 dollars, insurance paid

you can get a new rear axle from new gm parts for 720 bucks, thats for the ss/sc rear axle.

There had to have been something else wrong with your car other than that. THe axle itself lists for about $920 and calls for 4 hours in labor to install it. That totals up to about $1400. What else did you break?

If you go to a dealer it will be about $920 without tax. I think he is talking about gmpartsdirect.com or something like that.

oh sorry that was the total damages axel, rear quarter pannel, and bumber also labor. some dumb ass mexican ran a red light and tboned me, but thats not the bad part he didnt speak a lick of english

I think he means newgmparts.com

They shipped to me in Canada when many others wouldn't

yeah i got the axle now for 1000 bucks, wastest some money but its ok, and i bent the axle when my tire blew out and i slid into a curb. i still need a new rim which the dealership told me would be 400$, i'll just buy some aftermarket rims for a couple hundred bucks more and get all four with tires. all i got on there now is stock rubber anyway.if anybody gots some good deals on aftermarket rims with tires hit me up.

do you have a 2.2 or ss? cause i have 2 sets of aftermarket rims for a 2.2 pm me
