rear sway bar + rear tie bar TOO MUCH?

What's up guys just wondering what you guys think about having a rear sway bar plus a tie bar that goes straight across, I have seen the rear sway bars that follow the rear torsion axle, and I have seen some that have gone straight across , but I have never seen any one run both of them together, would that be pointless, or would it make the rear, too stiff, and also what about a front tie bar that goes inbetween the front control arms, just wanted your guys opinions or if any one has done it

technically those rear tie bars are whats pointless, so running a rear tie bar and rear sway would be pointless..

if you want it stiff, go powell XXX bar

and enlighten me on how the heck you would plan on doing a front tie bar?? lol

Well I was thinking since we can't do a rear strut bar, that a tie bar might help a little, what about a front tie bar

Rear tie bars are for IRS setups not a twisting beam like the delta's have.

idk where you saw a sway bar that was just a straight beam but it would be useless. The shape of a sway bar like Powell's that follows the profile of the twist beam allows the sway bar to twist which is the whole point. A straight bar with no arms wouldnt twist and wouldnt add any stiffness

tie bar is not needed at all especially if your going to auto x or road race..... think of the twisting beam as a big sway bar.

i think what im seeing is the powell xxx bar, it looks like it goes straight across but it just doesnt go up in the axle like the one i have does.
well here is the picture i saw

i have also seen on j-body website for my cavalier, people running rear tie bars, and front k frame braces, the delta body is pretty much set up the same way as the j-body
last week i had some extra metal laying around at my friends shop so me and my buddy decided to make a tie bar, i wanted to see what people would say before i posted it, but i have been driving with it for a week, and taken some turns pretty hard and all i have to say is i like it, feels good, no spinning out, you guys can say what you want about if its a bad idea or what, but people have been running these on there j-bodies for years, i have felt really no difference in regular daily driving, the suspension still moves like it should, i still lift a wheel off the ground pulling into driveways
overall i think it makes the car more stable.

well here is a picture of my set up

I'm just confused as to how it works. The rear sway bar works to prevent body roll by transmitting force from one side of the car to the other through torsion. How does that tie bar work? Does it pull from side to side? Does it twist?

Haha I thought that too. Looks like a lot of dead coils.

and that black cobalt looks similar to mine, minus the black paint . I've got a red XXX bar and NT05 tires, same as the one in the pic.

From what I have read it keeps the rear wheels in line parallel to each other, then which will keep the wheels the same distance from each other so under hard steering won't create any unwanted toe
And as for my springs they are h&r sports and they have always sat like that
And my mudflaps are universal rally armor
