Review of some parts
Okay I just dropped roughly 500 bucks on suspension stuff . I bought it from a local vendor on this site. While I was home this weekend I ran the car through some twisties. Every run I would make I would add one part to see if it made any difference. The only part that was installed before was Progress' Springs. The parts installed are:
*Progress Springs
*Progress Rear Sway bar
*DC Sports Strut bar
*Ingalls ETD
Review time, I will start out when the car was stock. When I was in my younger years I used to run these corners every morning whether it was the school bus or my ZX2. When I first got it, it was the best handling car I have ever owned. But I noticed that traction was a huge concern, and the tires would break lose under the slighest load. Every corner it seemed that car was at its limit, I wanted to actually see what this could pull off. The first thing I ordered was the Ingalls Torque Dampener. What's the point in more horsepower if I can't put it down right? It virtually eliminated all of my wheel hop, so that took care of that problem. After I ordered the rest of the stuff above I installed it. I put on the strut bar and sway bar after that. The car became alot more stable and alot easier to drive. I have never had a FF car that had oversteer, other people will call it loose but I felt as if I was in control the whole time. This would happen when I was hard on the brakes, and made part of the turn while still having slight pressure on the brake pedal. Still if your looking for a cheap or inexpensive suspension mod both bars pay for themselves.
Next up was the springs. I got them installed and the car alligned, the mechanic told me it did not have to be re-allingned apparantly it was still within GM specs, but I got it done anyway. I got to run through the corners right after I got these springs intalled. Man, what a difference! I got to tangle with a SVT Focus on the way home . Every corner he was mine, my entry and exit speed were twice as fast as his. As it sits the car rarely has tire squeel, I mean none. The stock bolsters actually hold me in compared to when it was stock. My Cobalt is 100% easier to drive now, and it rides almost the same as it did before with the ride being just slightly firmer than before. Springs helped with the wheel hop as well. Car has zero body roll, and I mean it! Anyone looking at buying or installing these parts .
If anyone has any questions about these parts feel free to ask.

Is that better than the progress one?

There might be some pictures posted up later tonite. As for it going over bumps, yes you can feel them. Its rough when your going over pot holes, but its not un bearable. As for the sway bar, it was almost as easier than the strut bar just get some people to help you out by holding it.
