SSC and CM springs: the same thing?
I have read and searched and I'm interested to know if someone can in fact verify the the CM springs and the SSC springs are the same. Does anyone have accurate drop numbers for the CM springs? To be installed on an 09 SS. Thanks

I feel as though there was a thread on this recently already...
i didn't read it though so idk what the answer is. pretty sure they are the same, the ssc's are nice and provide a healthy drop:

I put brand new orange megan racing springs on a customers car today. When the shock is at maximum rebound ( droop) the spring is loose front and rear. In the rear they may fall out as the car goes over bumps.
I have had that happen to a customer who installed CM springs... Just sayin'

the drop can be to the ground but the coils have to expand to keep the insulators at the rear in position, and the top spring perch and bearing in place at the front.
The megans were at least 6 inches shorter in free length than the stock spring. Not my car, not my gig , not my preference but the guy is a nice person and wanted them installed.
some days you cant say " I wont install those they are crap" because if you did, people would get mad, grunt and walk away.
you can starve that way.
so
anything less than YYZ is...less

i dont think so, i had a car in the air on canucks springs the other day and they were still held well into place. my car was the same deal. infact to get them out to put my coilovers on i had to hang off the axel. just sayin
