This may have been answered in one of the last 300 posts, but I don't really want to read all 300 of them. Are FE5 LNF or LSJ lower control arms direct swap for FE1 lower control arms? If not what parts will have to be changed in order to make it work?

so i have a base LS currently on eibach pro- kit springs, moog endlinks, and OTTP rack spacers and i'm looking into possibly getting megan racing coilovers around christmas or next spring but i'm wondering what spring rate would be better for spirited daily driving right now... 10kg front / 8kg rear or 6kg front / 6kg rear

LNF Knuckles will bolt directly onto an 07 SS/SC right?

Or do I have to have the LNF hub as well, if I have the hub, that means I have to have the LNF axles as well correct?

Also, I saw a few posts about it but nothing real conclusive, I could do a complete LNF front and rear brake swap and not need to replace lines, MC, booster etc etc, just the front hubs?

You need the LNF hub too, and axles, and youll lose your ABS because the wheel speed sensors are different.

You dont need to change hubs to do a brake swap.

^^^

Is there any way to get around this. I'd like LNF axles, knuckles, hubs and brakes.

How much lower do the ss/sc shocks and struts sit as opposed to the stock 08 LS shocks/struts? Cause I wanna go a bit lower then just the 2" drop I've got from my lowering springs without buying full coilovers.

If I used my 2" drop springs on ss/sc shocks/struts how much of a drop could I expect to see?

Does anyone know the stock ride height for a 2006 ss sc? Cant seem to find the answer anywhere, I beleve I have a stock springs but want to make sure before I buy some lowering springs. right now im at 2-3 fingers between the top of the tire to the finderwell which seems low based on pics ive seen of other cars, im also on 225/4518 GY Eagle GTs if that matters. thanks

so acc to factory specs the FE3/5 are different and im sure they are, but has any1 else noticed the aftermarket replacement dampers like monroe/gabriel blanket ALL models? LT LTZ SC NA even HHR? so are they that good or are you de-tuning ur suspension by installing these?

I'm sure they only make the most common one ie fe1. So its a downgrade for fe3 and fe5 people.

Seems to me that's what I said. But in a way that explained why it wasn't worth it.

09LAP - what car do you have?

If it's an SS s/c, the dual piston Brembos and larger front rotors from the SS turbo bolt right on, rears stay as they are.

If it's an FE1 car - don't worry about massive brakes; get good aftermarket rotors and HAWK HPS pads and call it a day; cheap and a big upgrade. Brakes matter, so cover those basics; but there are more important areas to put the money in a 4-lug Delta.

I'm looking at upping to a 2010 cobalt LT. I noticed it has the 08 sport fascia, would a 10 LT have an fe1 or fe3 suspension? What about brakes? Sorry if this has been answered, didn't see it on the list. Also noticed the wheels are the same as the 08 sport, they are a 5 lug bolt pattern.

How much do you want for the fe3 suspension? I assume it will fit on a 07 SS/NA

If you have an 07 SS/NA, then you already have an FE3 suspension. Also, you will have better luck getting a response if you PM the poster directly instead of within the thread.

Nope, but I can tell you I bought mine of off Amazon. They were Raybestos, they work great, and they were ridiculously cheap.

Are the rack and pinions for the FE1, FE3 and FE5 interchangable?

Yep all the same. The quicker steering ratio on the 08-10 LNF's are from the change in the knuckle.

good deal, the inner tierods on my FE1 are shot and they are non-servicable and i dont want to drop $300 on a rack and pinion if i can use one for a FE3 that costs $180. Any idea if the outer tierods are the same as well?
