What sway bar should I buy

Hey guys I was checking out my new ZZP shorty header today on my 2005 Cobalt SS/SC when I noticed a crack on my OEM front sway bar. I was already planning on upgrading my sway bars however with this crack I'll have to speed up the process.

Below is a pic of the crack that I found today. What should I do as a temporary fix ?

What is the best sway bar front & rear that I can get for my 05 Cobalt ? I was looking at the Eibach however I have read about them breaking plus the set that I was looking at is from ZZP & it's the 29mm. From what I've read Eibach no longer makes the 29mm bar therefore I would have trouble finding bushings for it down the rd.

What do you guys think about the ST suspension sway bars on EBay ?

Any advice would be great thanks guys.

Would you recommend the OTTP hardcore rear sway bar over ZZP in house rear sway ?

& after looking at the pic how much more life do you think I can get out of that front sway ? Does it look to you like it's about to go ?

I agree with you in fact I'm going to replace both the front & rear when I get paid next week.

Man it almost looks like that white sticker is holding it together lol

Do you think it's safe to drive on until I can replace it next week or can bad things happen if your front sway bar goes ?

The sway bar's only job is to control body roll during cornering. If it completely breaks, you may get a helluva noise going over bumps, but its nothing thats going to cause your car to drop in the front or come apart going down the road. So just maybe no high speed corner maneuvers

Powell for rear sway bar. Eibach or Ebay is **** and OTTP is a knockoff of the Powell swaybar from years ago. Not to mention lifetime warranty!

Question guys I'm noticing that most of you are saying to go with the stock front. Why go with stock front when I can get a performance bar wouldn't that be better than OEM ?

I was looking to go with the Eibach front & rear kit from ZZP for $234. I can't find a better deal than that anywhere for a front & rear bar together

Oem is best for the front, just search around if you want quality you have to pay up with powell. most here run powell including myself or ottp for the rear

This is really good info guys thanks. I want to make sure I have the correct site for the Powell bar is it powellraceparts.com ? & if that is the correct site do they only take orders by phone ?

Also which bar would you guys recommend as being the best bar from Powell the street-hardcore-or triple X ?

Last question what is your thoughts on ZZPs custom rear sway bar ?

As you can probably see I'm a big ZZP fan I get most of my parts from them.

Also one more note with you living in Ohio: Make sure to take your rear sway bar off when it gets to be winter and threats of snow come around...

Sway bar is the closest thing to the ground. It will see the most salt more than likely

its a safety thing, do not want the back end coming around if you have to take evasive actions
