Yes nfamous, if you can identify the springs as clanking from coil contact. I have not heard it on my car, but I have not tested v.2 on my car yet, waiting for spring, I dont drive the RL in the winter....honor the timeless classics lol

I've never heard my springs clanking together, but I no longer have that rawhide/rubberish sound isolator on the top of the springs and I feel as though sometimes I can hear that making some sounds back there on a good bump.

First day that I installed them (this past Saturday night) I heard a *PING* on the passenger side rear with just myself in the car. Went to dinner with my friends (passenger front and passenger rear placement) and the ping moved to the passenger side. Picked up the kid my girlfriend was babysitting and went out to dinner (put him behind me) and there was no pings.

Drove the car today, and I hear nothing so maybe it was just a settling in process but I did hear something the first day and so did my friends but it's gone now.

In other news the YYZv2 and new FE5 TC struts are awesome and everything feels much more planted (had original 2005 SS/SC shocks and springs). Big props to John for making these. I couldn't be any happier!

The noise is most likely the springs setting into the isolators. Mine did the same thing for about 25 miles or so of driving.

As far as I've noticed I haven't heard any noises. How are these springs with the rear konis?

I love the rear koni's. Not needed, but I love them, as they do improve the car particularly the low speed small body motions at the rear.

I wish I had the bux to do the front Koni, but the 2013 Redline budget is already maxed out with new wheels Z2 tires, new zost, new single pass, and track days planned.

and maybe a high helix quaife swap...

^Nice...those konis seem like they're a bitch to install though, although I've never changed struts before just springs.

i have a set here a customer gave me to repair. I think its easy enough if you have done it before. I cheated for the latest set, sent old struts to a koni expert in Cali to do the work for a customer in florida.
It really helps to have done it before.

the broken set I have, I think the hole for the securing nut was made too large ( thats how the new insert anchors, through the base of the strut tube) and the bolt backed off. Plus rust everywhere.........

Dude, front konis are so not hard, I had to redo one a few months ago I did it in my sleep. The dremel made it much easier than a hacksaw too btw

Get a set of v.2's now or wait for the v.3? Hardcore bar on the way and a set of Koni struts in the basement with a set of Koni shocks on order. The springs will finish it.
