ZZP SSC springs

Today I received my ZZP SSC springs. (Pictures ADDED)

Link:

http://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt_...ts1.php?id=456

Being an old Eibach springs customer, It was hard to change my mind on springs.
I put my trust in ZZP and I ordered a different pair of springs, cheaper in price at $139.99.

I'm simply amazed at the ZZP SSC springs quality. Even my mechanic was amazed.

Drops my cobalt SS/SC just perfect. My car is now equal from front to rear. I can fit 2 fingers between the wheel gap. The handling is awesome, It feels a tidy more stiff than stock you cant almost tell.

2 tumbs up for ZZP!! you guy's rock.
Thanks for the great service and great springs.

Very nice! And at $139.99...that's an awesome deal.

Couple questions - roughly how much is the labor on the install? And do you (or can someone chime in) how this will affect the life of the struts and shocks?

My fav garage told me it's 1.5 hour install not more.Lot of shops are claiming 3 hours, that's B.S. So canadian money $118.00.

Life of the struts not sure, since its not an insane drop, I cant see it affecting the struts that much more then stock...but we will see

At the shop I go to they charge $140.00 plus you need to get an alignment.

That's exactly what I was thinking. Only 1.25" per the ZZP site. I really want to get the lowered, albeit just a little, but I also don't want to drop $500 more in struts and shocks 2 years from now. I would hope I can get an install + alignment for under 200 bucks, but we'll see. That's something for the future, anyway.

You can cleary see in the pictures....stock cobalt and mine with a little 1.25" drop makes a world of a difference. Alignement you only need the front ones done.

you guys realise that ZZP doesn't make these springs right? they're made by SSC (superior sport chassis) and are also available locally for less than at ZZP

Looks good bro. I thought SSC springs were stock ride height minus the .5" drop in the rear, is this true? If so what would be the point?
Either way keep the ride looking clean.

No, they drop a lot more then that. Look at my pictures carefully, my friend "BLKSS" cobalt looks like a Dodge durango compared to my cobalt. I say a very similar drop then the Eibach sportlines..

Lower center of gravity and stiffer springs will improve handling, but it's mostly for looks really. For true improvement in handling you are going to have to shell out some serious $$$ for some adjustable coilovers!!

Yes, I already knew that. SSC is also a canadian springs manufacturer. ZZP is a distributor. Cheaper by a few bucks then ZZP?!?..seriously I dont really care! I like to help out our supporting vendors by givin them my business. I know that ZZP and other supporting vendors work very hard to make products for us.
